Going to get a hotspot for the next year while I live in a camper and build.

Is this website legit? Anyone using them?

Don't waste your money with a reseller.

Buy an MR5100 or M1, change the IMEI, and use a plan from circledin.com

$45 a month for unlimited ATT or TMO data, and you'll be able to use 5G if available in your area. The router will cost you around $600

This is what we use for internet along with StarLink. We just used an old phone IMEI and added a line to our AT&T account for $30/month (work discounted). We get on average about 40 up and down with a big antenna on our roof pointed at the tower.

TMobile has their home 5g routers for no upfront cost and around $50-$60 per month.

Not bad! I'd likely have added an extra line if I had TMO or ATT, but I have VZW who still isn't offering a new truly unlimited plan.

I still have a "grandfathered" unlimited VZW sim in my phone. It regularly gets 100+/20 which would be awesome. ATT at my house on 5G only gets ~25 down during peak hours. TMO 4g is only ~10mbps. I haven't had a chance to test TMO 5G.

With Starlink's new FAP, I'm probably going to explore a new WISP who has a 100/10 plan for $80/mo.

I've put these on a couple of our construction job sites. They've worked really well for us so far. My only suggestion is to try to talk to a T-Mobile rep directly, and they'll be able to tell you exactly what to expect at your location in terms of the service they can provide you. The little "check availability" tool on their website where you put in your address isn't always accurate, I have found.

We have one set up in Portland, TX where they told me they had excellent coverage, and we get about 40mbps down and 10 up. And then we have one set up just south of Temple, where they told me we would be right on the edge of their service area, and the coverage could be hit or miss. We get 500+ down and 10 up at that location…

If you are in an area where they can service you, I highly recommend the t-mobile home 5g

That's also a difference between 5G and 4G
