I'm redoing my study, and I'm looking for recommendations for the best universal docking station that can utilize two monitors, and have USB-A and USB-C ports. A Dell Latitude 5430, Surface Pro 8, and a Macbook Pro will be using the docking station. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated!

I've had really good luck with Dell ones. I've used this one with both PCs and Macs.

I'm sure there are cheaper options out there, but I've been using a Dell one for a couple of years now.

I've had good luck with Anker ones. They have a lot of options upto and including thunderbolt options. I would avoid a lot of the no name versions. Those have a terrible track record.

I have two of these. One for home and one for office. Both work well.

Will this run dual monitors from a MacBook Pro? It doesn't appear to support Thunderbolt 3.

I'm leaning towards the Dell docking station. Any idea how well it works with a Surface Pro 8?

The Dell ones work the best, by far. Solid.

I think I linked to the wrong way. The D6000 is the actual model I have (which appears to be last year's version and they've changed all the numbers.)

It works via USB-C and connects to my MacBook Air to drive 2 1080P monitors. I don't have 4K monitors to test with.

I also use the Dell one at work. Plug a Dell laptop into it and work off of 3 monitors (2 DisplayPort and 1 hdmi).

Thanks for the recommendations. I went ahead and decided to go with the Dell 452-BCYT D6000.
