YES, that Apple TV split screen feature is probably my top favorite enhancements of streaming boxes/sticks. It's almost like someone talked to a sports fan and asked, what would be the best feature we can make.bobinator said:
I switch to YouTubeTV in March every year for March Madness but otherwise we're a Fubo house.
I've posted this before, but a lot of people still don't know about it so posting it again and I think it's an absolute gamechanger for Fubo.
If you watch Fubo on an AppleTV device (I think 3rd gen or later), you can split the screen into four separate feeds, and I think this is the only combination of live TV service and device that you can do this on. So, you could watch the Astros on AT&T Sportsnet, a football game on ESPN, another football game on Fox, and another game on ESPN2 or whatever on the same screen.
There are some apps you can do a multiview on with AppleTV, like ESPN and Fox, but everything has to be on the ESPN networks or the Fox networks. I think Fubo is the only way you can mix and match channels.
Pretty sure this is incorrect as this is an apple TV feature, not a Fubo feature. You can stream multiple apps at the same time.bobinator said:

I am paying $50/month for T-Mobile internet. As a T-Mobile customer, I get a year of YouTube TV for half price. So that's $35/month.Crazy Ag 97 said:
What do y'all use for your internet? When I look at the cost of stand alone Internet plus one of these steaming services like fubo, it's always more the cable/internet bundle I currently have with Xfinity. What am I missing?
You're not missing anything. The cost of streaming TV service has steadily risen to the point it's now comparable to cable packages. The advantage is you can better target what you want. I just want college football and Astros, which Directv Stream does for a cheaper price than any other service that I've found.Crazy Ag 97 said:

Never had a contract with cable, I think satellite service is the only TV content service that has ever had a contract.Jabin said:
Isn't one of the advantages of streaming that it's no contract? That is, you can stream just during football season, if that's your thing, rather than having to pay for the entire year.
The advantage with streaming is more around the ease to cancel and add service. You can just do things on the portal to add something, and more importantly remove it easily. Cable is usually geared to let you add as much as you want in a simple manner, but removing require a few hoops to jump through.kb2001 said:Never had a contract with cable, I think satellite service is the only TV content service that has ever had a contract.Jabin said:

With cable they would have a cheaper rate for the first 6 months, that was my method for a while. Cancel as soon as football was over, by the time I needed it again I was eligible for the discounted rate again. No contract ever though

Correct.bobinator said:
That's the Fubo "multiview" yes? That's what I was talking about.
I'm glad they're adding it, but as with everything Google these days (and I'm a hard core android since the beginning), I'll be worried about implementation. For something like this I would prefer the native design, but Google will do it their way, probably with no regard of the design outside of the device their developer worked on it with.bobinator said:
Apparently multiview is coming soon to YouTubeTV, will be interesting to see as this update rolls out.
I am very excited to hear this. Any indication on when it's going to be pushed out?bobinator said:
