I use two 27" monitors connected to my MacBook Pro, only use it for my business and investing, no gaming.

What 27" monitor would you recommend purchasing in the $1000 -1200 range?

I currently have a cheap ACER which just died and also a Samsung LG "Ultra Fine" which has an excellent display.

I would like to duplicate the quality of the Samsung, it's very easy on my aging eyes working spreadsheets.

Samsung and LG are different companies. LG makes the Ultrafine series.
