Dude. What kind of insane stuff have you been posting that is causing you to go on like this?

I think staph removing inactive threads from the politics forum that predate the current terms of service is a reasonable approach.

For somebody that doesn't know jack sheet, what is the archive? Does it allow you to look back at all your old posts? I wouldn't mind seeing mine to see if I need to scrub anything.

People are being actively targeted on Twitter, so it actually is not enough.

how about a script to copy posts from a "volatile" forum into a thread in a less traveled forum (such as Academics, for instance)?! For posterity!!!

lol There is no practical difference between deleting inactive threads and hiding them where NOBODY will ever find them.

Along those lines, a previous poster asked about an archive only version of the script. It would take about 2 minutes to strip the editing stuff out. But it's a bad idea b/c as easy as it would be to archive your own posts, it would be trivially simple for a cancel culture warrior to go pull any other user's posts for a deep dive into their history.

Yeah, I don't have anything particularly compromising on TexAgs and I don't really share the concerns of the resident F16 loony bin, but I can see the value in being able to more easily mass-edit/delete posts.

I routinely scrub my online presence on other sites every few months just because, and I'd like to be able to do the same thing here.
