Got this in yesterday. It's a set made for the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Haven't built it, but it looks awesome. Should look great next you my Saturn V.

I want them to make sets for the Shuttle w/External Tank & SRBs and the Mercury Redstone that are the same scale as the Saturn V.

I wish they would too. I think they realized how much interest and demand there was for NASA related sets with the Saturn V. That one caught them totally by surprise because their initial run wasn't even close to being enough. They sold out almost immediately and struggled to keep up for awhile. I think that's why they even made this set.

I like the detail and scale of this one though. It's minifig sized, but still pretty detailed in and out. It also separates into lander and ascent stages, which is pretty cool considering the scale.

It's also 1000+ pieces, with more than a few that will be exclusive to this set. The cost of highly irregular pieces or limited run pieces will inevitably get passed on. It's worth it to me though. It looks like an awesome set, and after their Saturn V, I want to get as many space or NASA lego sets as I can to start a collection.

The set is discontinued, but check out the shuttle adventure. The minifig scale is off, but the shuttle and saturn V are with a few cm of being to scale next to each other.

I have both of these plus the curiosity rover on my shelf. Awesome sets. Can't wait to pickup the lander as well.

My boys picked out the lander and satV for me for Father's Day. Both look great!

Those yours? I recognize that sub in the top right from I was maybe 10.

Also, that shuttle and the rover are spendy items now. I think the shuttle set is around $750 if you can find it. The river is around $300. This is why I bought a second Saturn V that is still in the shipping box from lego. I'm either going to give it to one of my kids, or let it become one of the rarest lego items on the planet.

Agreed. I got the Saturn V set for Christmas, and didn't realize how much detail they put into the interior of the launch vehicle. Maybe this is more typical with their 'Creator' series, but it was a hidden gem and I thought it was a shame to cover it up, so I displayed mine in a cutaway configuration.

Not mine. Found a picture showing both on reddit bc it's easier than taking and hosting my own.

The Rover was one of the first Lego ideas sets that they released, and thus underestimated demand and had a really short production run. It's worth at least a few hundred dollars as well, but too cool to ever sell just like the shuttle.

I was gonna say, that's a helluva collection
