So most people have to play as a dirt farmer that gets drafted into disposable infantry units?Quote:
For those who don't know about it. Realistic medieval RPG...no magic, etc.

So the combat system is going to take some getting used to. Without spoiling too much, I had to confront someone who owed my dad money and when he refused to pay I could either do a speech roll (only had 1 point) or threaten him (stat was 3). The threaten roll failed and I had to get into a fist fight. It seemed to take entirely too long with the amount of punishment I was taking and giving. I think no matter what I would've lost because after that is a lock picking mission to get the items he refused to pay my father for.
Still, a very different take on this genre.
If you're referring to the first quest from the miller, there is another way you can accomplish it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone on here though.dlance said:
Played a couple of hours last night and I like it. Although lockpicking suuuuuuuuucks...at least on console. Apparently I am not alone since the devs said they are going to make it easier in a future update. I have yet to successfully open a very easy lock and because of that, I am pretty much stuck and will have to start over.
Yea, I'm a few hours into the game and past the first group of quests and have yet to try lockpicking.nomad2007 said:If you're referring to the first quest from the miller, there is another way you can accomplish it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone on here though.dlance said:

I am trying to escape the castle and have to break into a chest to get an item so I can leave.
I have 7 bucks left after breaking off six lockpicks and they run 18 bucks a piece at the vendor.
