I'm browsing texags and safari gives me an apple security notice that says I might have a virus and then redirects me to get this VPN app. Is this legit and should I get it? Anyway guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you! I thought Apple was protected from viruses due to their platform.

I just got the same thing browsing TexAgs on my iPad. Never happened before. Specific to this site so far.

I chatted with Apple support. They said to close window and go to setting>Safari>delete browsing history and pages. Then that would fix it. Also, it's a phishing tag so DO NOT PROVIDE personal info or you could compromise yourself. Texags should look into if their platform has been compromised.

Apparently it's a TexAgs issue. Similar threads have popped up in all the forums. Texags has been "working on it" for quite awhile it seems, but so far haven't fixed it.

Yep, I've had similar pop ups on my iPhone and iPad with TexAgs. Clearing browsing history helped for a bit.

It's texags. The mods are surfing porn when they aren't banning people. It happens.

Went back to chrome briefly and the pop ups seem to have stopped but I really like being able to browse texags with NO ads whatsoever via Brave browser.

There's not really any and you don't really need it because it wouldn't really work.

The issues we're talking about here are phishing attacks that are piggybacking on an ad provider's ads and not traditional malware or a virus like the stuff that can get loaded onto your computer.

I'm using AdBlock for similar purposes and it works great as well as I'm not getting any of these issues on my PCs, just my mobile devices that don't have any kind of really effective ad blocking available.
