Is it advisable to buy OEM, or are there acceptable compatible toners out there? I don't want a cartridge that my printer won't recognize as being full or one that's going to cause my printer to malfunction, but slightly diminished print quality is OK. Thanks.

I've been buying the generic TN450 toner on Amazon for years, no complaints.

Oh, and you can usually get several hundred pages of decent quality after the built in page counter for "low toner" goes off.
