Yesterday I left the house for a few hours and came back and my Xbox One would no longer connect to Live. I've forced a hard reboot a dozen times and even reset the modem/router back to its default settings and still no dice. Tried deleting profile and downloading it again. The built in network/multiplayer tests both say everything is good and I can see the friends list and the Newsfeed but when I return to the home screen it still says I need to connect to Live. I have a laptop two feet away streaming HD video so it shouldn't be the wireless connection alone. Intermittently I can't even sign in to the system at all. Any ideas?

I've found it easier to contact them after logging into your MS account on xbox.com and chatting. That way your information and the consoles registration information is already available to them.

I'm having issues being able to share game clips today through the smartglass app...worked fine yesterday but now I am getting a notification that my settings won't allow me to access that ability...so I login on web browser and literally all of my settings show that I have them set to allow content sharing. I have never messed with those settings since initial set up

I tried both of those last night. They never responded on twitter and when I went on Xbox.com it wanted me to combine my MS account with Skype and would ask me for my email address and then say it couldn't look it up, come back later. That's how I ended up asking on here. I was tired of fighting MS at every turn and getting nowhere. Guess I will try that again today.

Can you sign in to the Smart Glass app?

Had the same issues with logging in, Kinect not working and unable to capture screenshots and clips. Granted, a hard reboot and complete router restart fixed my issues but I wonder if something happened on MS's end.

I moved the TV and Xbox into another room closer to the modem/router and it works. Took it back in the other room and it was broken again. Not sure why it broke all of a sudden in the same room I have always used when visiting my parents and why Live seems to be so sensitive to it compared to other devices. Also weird that it said it had 73% wireless strength in there and was able to see a friends list but nothing else.

Clearly at your parent's house the answer is "because you touch yourself".

The router may need a firmware update. I had it happen a couple of times with various devices.
