Downloaded the Twitter app on my fire tv. Was able to watch the game through that since it was blacked out on vue
Pretty sure it's the same price for each package and you just get what you get in your area based on availability.AggieGunslinger said:
Doesnt Vue charge more if you have locals? HD OTA is cheap.
Ahh okay, but I don't see an option for me, so again it must be based on location and cheaper if you don't have locals. There are some locals in Austin (CBS and Fox) and the Core Slim package is $34.99/month. I can get ABC and NBC On Demand content, but not live.Whitetail said:
It's 5 or 10 more per month if they give you locals.
Well that stinks. I in the process of finally switching to Vue from Sling thanks to them finally adding Apple TV support and now I lose South Park. I do have other ways to watch it, but still annoying.Streetfighter 02 said:
I just noticed they quit carrying Comedy Central.

I just noticed they quit carrying Comedy Central. DFW doesn't get ABC, either.

Houston gets all of the major local broadcast networks except for CBS.
Get an Amazon fire. I have a stick and a fire, and the stick is slow.irish pete ag06 said:
Just got PSVue last night. I have Roku's only, but I am picking up an amazon fire stick today. Any words of advice for a new Vue'er?

Question about the fire vs. stick: I noticed in the instructions for the stick it recommended plugging it into an outlet instead of using the tv's USB port for power like I did for the roku. Mentioned I'd get better signal reception if I did. I followed the recommendation and haven't had an issue, although our house is pretty small.

I have used PSVue, SlingTV, and Directv Now. PSVue is the best of the three by far in my opinion. Directv Now is unwatchable 50% of the time due to constant freezing.
