Downloaded the Twitter app on my fire tv. Was able to watch the game through that since it was blacked out on vue

I also watched it on twitter after being unable to see it on Vue in Houston. I didn't even know twitter aired live content.

Vue will be much better in houston once they work out a deal with the local CBS affiliate.

Wow, have yall noticed the Vue commercials this weekend? Just had one on NBC's Sunday Night Football with Cowboys vs Bears as well at ESPN college football games on Saturday.

While I've known about the product for awhile, glad to see them advertising it to the masses.

You watching vue when you saw it? I think they put their ads on the channels.

OTA at home, but was in College Station visiting parents who have Suddenlink cable.

10-days and two weekends of College Football and almost no issues with PS Vue.

Running Time Warner 50MBs service over a Netgear Modem and Neatgear 1750 Wi-Fi router to a a Fire TV and PS4 over wi-fi.

Occasional stall on some streams, but it just pauses for a second or two then starts again. Happened maybe twice during the A&M v SC game.

When I look at the total cost (including taxes and eq. fees) I'm saving almost $60/month (I had Uverse 12mbs and U200 TV, Uverse wi-fi router and 1 single wi-fi TV box).

Total new equipment (Fire TV, Modem and Router) was ~$250 so it will be paid for in less than 6-months. When March Madness is over I will likely just suspend PS Vue until next fall b/c we just don't watch much TV.

And CBS was just added to my locals on PS Vue and I'm hoping that means NBC, Fox, and ABC will be there soon as well.

Where are you located? Wonder how long before CBS local is added for San Antonio/Boerne area...

Doesnt Vue charge more if you have locals? HD OTA is cheap.

Pretty sure it's the same price for each package and you just get what you get in your area based on availability.

It's 5 or 10 more per month if they give you locals.

Ahh okay, but I don't see an option for me, so again it must be based on location and cheaper if you don't have locals. There are some locals in Austin (CBS and Fox) and the Core Slim package is $34.99/month. I can get ABC and NBC On Demand content, but not live.

Don't know if it costs more as I pay $34.99 for service in KC. I did have to get the fox sports App to get the local sports station which is fine on the Fire TV, but no App on PS4.

If they charge more for the locals I will cancel that part of I can and go OTA (which looks amazingly good on my DIY coat hanger antenna).

And Playstation Vue finally adds Apple TV support.

I just noticed they quit carrying Comedy Central. DFW doesn't get ABC, either.

Well that stinks. I in the process of finally switching to Vue from Sling thanks to them finally adding Apple TV support and now I lose South Park. I do have other ways to watch it, but still annoying.

Yep, sucks that they dropped the Viacom channels and didn't add anything but the price stayed the same.

Wasn't there something in the past month or so about Xfinity capping their data?

Can anyone in Houston market confirm, you get live and on-demand CBS, NBC, & FOX, just no ABC period, correct?

Houston gets all of the major local broadcast networks except for CBS.

All those are live, correct? Also, do the on demand logins work for their sites (if the wife wants to go to abc.com & watch shows)?

Thanks, finally booted up the Vue site and typed in my zip & saw Fox, NBC, & ABC.

Assuming most pay the $5.99 for CBS all access?

I'm about to switch to Xfinity internet, what speed do I need to make sure that streaming will run smoothly?

I have their performance pro package -- $50 a month -- and have no issues steaming over a wifi connection.

okay, how bad are the blackouts for sports?

One of the only reasons I pay for TV is live sporting events (unreliable OTA). I want to make sure you local channels airing games does not mean that all of those are then blacked out on Playstation Vue.

Just got PSVue last night. I have Roku's only, but I am picking up an amazon fire stick today. Any words of advice for a new Vue'er?

Get an Amazon fire. I have a stick and a fire, and the stick is slow.

My advice would be to just stick with Roku and return your amazon product.

I actually have a Roku, a Fire stick, and a couple Amazon fires.

PS Vue is best viewed on the Fire to me.

Question about the fire vs. stick: I noticed in the instructions for the stick it recommended plugging it into an outlet instead of using the tv's USB port for power like I did for the roku. Mentioned I'd get better signal reception if I did. I followed the recommendation and haven't had an issue, although our house is pretty small.

DVR'd a show last night and tried watching it. (PS4 Wireless btw..)

I noticed some DVR skipping. It got more and more prevalent as the show continued. Anyone else notice this in their recordings?

Every once in awhile a show wont record properly. We had one last week that would skip and freeze some but it doesnt do it all the time..

Is there a question in there somewhere?

I have used PSVue, SlingTV, and Directv Now. PSVue is the best of the three by far in my opinion. Directv Now is unwatchable 50% of the time due to constant freezing.

Pretty much my experience as well. He one thing I'll say about DIRECTV Now is that when it's working, switching channels is almost as fast as cable or satellite. I'm riding out the DTVN three months that I prepaid for and then will be switching back to Vue if DTVN doesn't dramatically improve or add DVR functionality.

I'll also be keeping an eye out for Hulu's offering.
