Nevermind I see what it's doing now.

Does anyone have any theories on how we're supposed to put the random sequences in order?

I posted this in the premium thread, I don't know if that's how we're going to have to do it or not though.

quote:
They're being posted at random. Since they are being posted as sequential segments, we're going to have to go back at the end to put them in the correct order.

So if the sequences are posted in the following order:

3,4
6,7
5,6
1,2
2,3
4,5

We would have to assume that 1 and 7 are the ends since they don't have a match and then the sequence would be 0+1+2+3+4+5+6+7+0.

That's assuming we get a match at some point though, which we haven't yet. But it's odd (/annoying?) that it would put the same sequence out twice.

I assume someone on premium has already tried gaming the time code.

This reminds me of a game a bunch of is on Texas played about 8 years ago. Clues were harder... We got bored and figured out who was doing it and started messing with him. He didn't like that.

He was forced to quit the game after someone on Texags got the university to investigate due to bombing suspicions. Idiots. Some of the most fun nights I had in college and met lots of good people.

I tried just moving my system clock forward and that didn't work, but I assumed it wouldn't be that easy. If the codes were already loaded into the page it would show up on the source code but it doesn't.

I guess we're supposed to just wait it out.

It's already established that it might show us the same segments multiple times so this doesn't have a determinate end time which is sort of annoying.

Everyone knows it is Escape Room. The puzzle is just being done for fun now. If you Google the first phone number that was found, it comes up for Escape Room BCS.
Fair enough.

Repeats are killing it. Probably gonna take another ~96 minutes just to get all the combinations, then another hour or so to get them in the right order if its randomized.

What happened?!
I think labmansid summed it up pretty well on the Premium thread. Here's your summary:

quote:
'Twas the week before Signing Day
And all through the forum,
Recruiting experts aplenty could not reach a quorum.
How could the Whorns, seemingly filling their 'ships,
Rake in those recruits, after playing like ****.
Almost unnoticed, a sticky appeared.
Was she in trouble? Poor Nikki, we feared.
Only two clues; an unfocused pic,
Random numbers and letters, we had better think quick!
A Sponsor tag noted, our minds ran amuck.
Most were still wondering, "Hey WTF?"
When out of the blue, an event changed our luck
The Base64, decoded by Cuppycup.
A Craigslist ad arose from the rubble,
Surely we thought, an end to the puzzle.
A number to call in the ad was found,
Okay you guys, quit screwing us around.
The call was made, by the intrepid Cuppy
Were they from MyBCS, were they looking for a puppy?
No, there was one more clue, a link to a blog
More random symbols, were they picked by a Frog?
Again it was Cuppy to tackle the code.
"Another web link, it's a QR!" He crowed.
To our QR app, which led to a map,
In the middle of the street was the pin, Oh Crap!
The spot was near our beloved Field of Kyle
Cuppy can't leave Htown, "It would take me a while".
Some quick recon by the local called Spanky
Produced little, but questions of hanky-panky.
Sandman scored coupons, from a lass, he was given
Which allowed him to grab a bunch of cheap chicken.
Tailgate enlisted the skills of his son
Quite the detective, a new phase begun!
More sleuthing and ciphering, almost knocked on our tushes
Spanky comes through, after poking some bushes.
A new coded web link, who do they think we are
We can crack codes, like opening a jar.
2006EE receives an email reply,
Are we much nearer to hitting the bullseye?
A tale of a necklace made of various gems
Combinations are plenty, to many powers of tens!
Segments of four strung together to number fifty
Not a one to be repeated, don't try to be shifty.
Slowly pairs of segments start to appear on the screen
Wow at this rate, we'll need lots more caffeine!
Finally the pairs begin to add up
What's the reward, who will cleanup?
On Spanky, on Whitetail, on M.C Swag
On NetSmith, on 3rdGen, on SpreadsheetAg!
