Does anyone know of a true independent website hosting company reviews site (there are many websites out there claiming that they are independent but if you read the fine print, they are not) ?? Or can someone recommend a good web hosting company?

I use 1and1, hostmonster, and digitalocean. Really enjoy all of them and have had them for a while.
