Can someone explain the community game with the trading cards that goes along with the sale? I don't get it.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons available for $3. One of the most emotionally engaging games I've ever played. The controls are very basic, but they connect the player to the characters in the game beautifully. You truly do feel like a part of the story. There's a *THAT moment* part of the game when the simplicity of the control scheme becomes incredibly emotionally powerful. There are no lengthy cutscenes or heavily voice acted set pieces, but it doesn't need it. Got Metro 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux for $9.99 and got Wolfenstein The Old Blood for the same price. I'm glad I'm already paid up on y bills this month.

Glad I could be a help. Seriously though. It's a pretty short experience, around 3 hours, but it's a journey that I will never forget.

Are the xcom games good?

I've also seen Small World discounted as well. I've heard from friends that the board game is good, anyone played the computer version?

City: Skylines is just slightly higher than I'm willing to pay, but that game looks dope.

I couldn't get into xcom. It's fun, but with my kids the age they are I didn't have the time to dedicate to really figure it out.

Tempted to get Ryse: Son of Rome. But the Metacritic score scares me.

I played it, the controls get repetitive but it is one of the most beautiful games I've played. so if you haf the Graphics card, i say go for it.

Should be OK there, running dual GTX 760s in SLI. It handles GTA 5 well enough.

also gore... lots of dismemberment and general gore. In fact one of the skill trees is just getting more and more brutal kill moves...

Steam sales, when every penny counts. Because other sales.

I literally have 50 games I haven't even installed yet because of these sales.

I think I saw the forest on sale for 10 bucks. Highly recommend it. I've spent over 100 hours on it already and haven't even scratched the surface of the game yet.

I know what you mean, I've installed most of mine, but I've probably got close to 75 that I haven't played. I don't even want to know how much I've spent.

Can't beat it. Bio shock is the best deal.

I'm torn on getting Rome 2 Total War, it's $15 dollars and I'm a big player of both Rome and Empire, but I've heard some horror stories regarding R2. Did they fix everything with the Emperor Edition?

picked up civ 5 with all the DLC for 13 bucks. never played any of the civ series but couldn't resist

The theme for me this summer seems to be "nostalgia."

Just picked up Flight Simulator X Steam Edition for $7.99 (including three DLCs). -- Played this nonstop 6-7 years ago.

I can't remember if this was a summer sale item or not, but the other day I picked up Novalogic's simulator pack for less than $10, which included my favorite game growing up: F-16 Multirole Fighter. Very disappointed no one makes games like that any more.

Looks like EA jumped in on the sale hysteria. Almost everything is half off in the Origin store including Dragon Age Inquisition

Let me know how this works out for you after you've spent hundred if not thousands of dollars on add-ons /hardware and hundreds of hours of play time. Things have changed a lot in the last 6-7 years and the content available is only limited by your funds.
