One of the first "iPhone killers" that didn't pan out.

Those are the phones I know for sure. Before the Razr I think I had two different styles of Motorola flip phones and before that I think I had some sort of Nokia.

I definitely felt that iOS was getting tired and even played around with the iOS 7 beta quite a bit before jumping ship. Tried WP8 as well, which was nice, but MS has encryption problems that prevent me from using them with work.

I have really enjoyed Android and I did test both the One and GS4 before deciding on the One. I felt the One had a far better screen (the GS4 is terribly oversaturated, like most AMOLED screens) and I hate the cheap plastic feeling of every Samsung phone I've ever held. Running stock 4.3 on the One versus Sense 5 had a pretty big impact on my enjoyment of the phone.

Good thread, don't have time my phones starting back in the 90s but one of the things I miss is having a completely different phone every year and the different stylings. Jumped on iPhone starting with the 2 and just don't get as excited about upgrading every few years now. Currently have a 4, may pull the trigger and get a 5s, not that excited either way.
