AMD e-350, integrated video. The days of needing a video card to play perfect 1080p content are long gone. Get something with a fusion processor or an Atom + Nvidia ION processor.

I guess what I need to know is what video specs should I look for?

The biggest TV I have is a 55" plasma, so ideally I want to make sure I have video power to have it look good on that.

What is rhe feesability of dropping cable and go streaming only. We dont watch a lot of shows that arent on major networks, mainly Fx and USA besides the big 4. But what about the Aggie games and Rangers.

For someone with an xbox already, playon looks really intriguing. 80 bucks (one time fee) for all the channels I normally watch on TV, plus a few i don't get cause they're on a premium package? wow.

I want to see what the live tv functions on the xbox are when that comes out, but wow.

based on the demo it wouldn't appear you can watch the channels live though? not really sure.

I have no idea. WD TV Live plays everything, and I mean everything.

Honestly, I wonder if WD just needs to do a better job marketing it.

WDTV is great.

I have both a WDTV and a Boxee Box and the interface on the Boxee is my preferance, but you seriously can not go wrong with the WDTV.

Do you have them on different TVs or both connected to the same?

Different TVs both are pulling content off a HP Mediasmart server.

Love them both.

You can watch ESPN3 live, and probably some others. But it's really up to the network as to whether or not they stream their shows live.

I think Fox still waits a week before putting their shows online.

The great thing about Play On is that if you have a site that you watch videos on, say, for example, TexAgs Premium, you could write your own script for a channel and be streaming the videos to your t.v.

Roku - I have. Cheap, great built in apps, and very portable. For the price, and especially if you have kids, this is great option -- small and move from TV to TV easily (AV cables or HDMI). The whole family loves this little gadget. Will buy some for relative family gifts this Christmas.

Boxee Box -- don't have but likely what I would get next. From what I've researched, looks great. Would integrate all my PC media on top of great built in apps.

Can't comment on Apple TV -- I am avoiding iTunes/movies (just personal preference). Likely awesome but won't go down that path.
