Online research says the dmd chip/board needs to be replaced. Samsung says they won't cover it, anyone had experience with this, and have info on how much it cost to fix?

Yeah, I contacted Samsung, no questions asked, tv already 3 + years old, maybe 4 years old, they sent someone out to fix it for free. Your "million mirrors" are going bad and getting stuck.

Let me know what your model numbers are. Maybe I can trick them into fixing it for free if I give them a different model. I have a HL-T6156W.

Thanks. I told Samsung I had a HLT-6176S and they set up an appointment for a free repair. Then told the local repair shop my real model number and they fixed it no questions asked.
