The thing I don't see talked about in this whole fiasco is both teams were at the opponent 24 when they ran another play. You can say what you want about the Giants not trusting their kicker, but it's only 7 yard longer than an extra point and is very, very makable for an NFL kicker.

Both were walk-off game winners. There was no need to burn clock. The fault lies squarely on both coaches and only them. Kick the field goal and go home a winner.

That is a terrible excuse for running an extra play. If you can't trust your kicker to make a 41 yard field goal, you release him immediately and ask yourself why you continued to carry him in the first place.

Misses those SEC refs from 2023.
