The winless 0-4 Buccaneers with a backup quarterback pulled off a stunning 24-16 road win over the Cowboys on a short week. I got just 4.9 point from Jake Ferguson because he dropped a few passes.

Shut the eff up, man. Nobody needs your sht right now.

I think it's like his therapy thing. When you mix full on 'tism with likely PTSD, you can get a little mechanical at times. Cut him some slack. I think he also had Asian parents.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

It's wild that for everything else that went wrong, we 100% win that game if not for Ferguson. Cost us 11 points.

And bland dropping a walk-in pick six.

Not to mention being the direct cause for multiple TB scoring drives. It's not hyperbole to say he swung the game by 20-25 points.

I didn't even see him on the big run to start the second half, but multiple people pointed him out. What'd he do, or not do I guess? I noticed every other **** up he made.

Just the way he writes. It's harmless. Some have to lash out though as they are emotionally compromised.

Hey guys, we all might feel bad right now. But Jerrah feels it worst. It's his money. Eff him. I hope he can't sleep.

Ha! He just made 20 mil tonight. He doesn't feel as bad as you want him to.

Nah, I bet he does. Dude is close to his death bed. Money don't mean that much to him anymore. He wants that Super Bowl and he knows he ain't getting it.

He's not happy with losing but his biggest priority for his legacy is the brand, it's always been the brand. It drives everything he does. Winning is a priority but only if it happens following his model of building the franchise to be the standard when it comes to making money.i've seen it countless times to think winning has ever been his highest priority.

The brand is his ego. He wants to prove to everybody that he is THE football guy. He doesn't want to be known as the guy who just signs the checks. He has spent the past 30 years to discredit and minimize Jimmy Johnson. He has failed miserably.

Yup. As we all know, the team's greatest period of success with Jerral as owner happened with Jimmy making the personnel decisions. Sadly, his huge ego couldn't handle sharing success with someone else, so he fired him. Bozo the Switzer managed to fall into a championship with Jimmy's team, but otherwise, it's been three decades without even a Conference Championship game appearance. But hey, at least they are the NFL's most valuable franchise.

Not disagreeing that he wants to be known for building the team that wins a championship, but he isn't as committed to that as he is making the brand the shiniest toy in the rich man's and box.

He talks off camera more about building his brand than he does brining in the best people to build the best team.

I will say he gets vilified for his team building mistakes much more than he gets credit for some of the things he does for his employees and the people around him.

Jimmy wasn't completely innocent in all of that either. I think the way that unfolded caused Jerry to knee jerk a bit and it hasn't resulted in what the fans want more than he does. But that's Jerry in a nutshell, can't strip the wildcatter out of him.

Sure, he knows how to make money. Get that money from Pepsi!!! Kudos.

But he sucks at building a football team.

He gets rid of players that suck. He gets rid of coaches that under-perform.

But Jerrah the GM still gets to keep his job.

His EGO is undefeated.

Jason Witten didn't go to OU because he thought Norman was a nice town. Don't forget about him in the next few years, if Jerry is still at the helm by then.

No argument for me on that, but it goes to my point. GM isn't his sole focus, and he's said as much believing he can handle that role and enlarge the footprint of the brand simultaneously. His ego and ambition know no bounds.

Down 14 points, score TD:

Go for 2 and convert, score again and kick extra point:
Result - Win (XPs are converted at 96% rate).

Go for 2 and miss, score again and go for 2 and convert:
Result - Overtime

Go for 2 and miss, score again and go for 2 and miss:
Result - Loss

Only one scenario results in a loss in regulation.

plus the rules of overtime have changed

not decided by a coin flip anymore

both teams get a possession

(that was the reason to avoid overtime back in the day)

I have a buddy on the Cowboys staff (support side, not a coach).

The trick is, Jerry has Cowboys fans thinking he really cares. Sure there is a competitive side to him but all he really cares about is a full stadium and merchandise sales.

That revenue is driving Jerry's real estate empire from frisco all the way to the Oklahoma border up 75 and Dallas North Tollway.

And nothing will change when he passes. His coke head son is even worse at football and a thousand times as arrogant.

People can rightfully hate on Schotty for being a nepo baby but Stephen's got the poster child locked on that.

You spelled Jason Witten wrong…
And the devolvement into the latter decade of Al Davis' Raiders continues, as we get further into the first-time head coaches that are also going to be the youngest coaches in the nfl.

I figured it would get that kind of response from someone. Fair enough.

I'll say he's been there over a decade and was never more despondent than when they hired Schotty. More specifically, after the first meeting he had with the Cowboys exec team.
