Have Chase Brown and opponent started the Bengals D, so my week is off to a nice start. Got Burrow in my one other league too.

Opponent had Lamar and Chase Brown...they totaled 50.8.

I had Ja'Marr who totaled 49.9.

I like the idea considering how easily Baltimore was scoring...they didn't leave the game up to the coin flip in OT.

But did not like the play call...why the hell are you throwing it to Tanner Hudson when Ja'Marr Chase is having an all time great night?
oh no

4D chess. that's why.

I think the 2 pt conversion play call was looking at a read pre-snap. They checked to that play based on defense alignment. i.e. they got baited into checking to a pass to Ja'Marr when they saw 1v1 vs Chase on the motion. However, post snap once Burrow saw Chase was jammed close in his 1v1 he moved on in his progression quickly thinking he didn't much more time. Gisecki was in a lot of traffic and didn't appear to be an option to Burrow (even though Herbstreit and Al Michaels wanted a defensive holding call there), so Hudson was apparently the only choice once Burrow decided quickly he didn't like the Ja'Marr option. Perhaps Hudson should have kept running across instead of squaring up, but maybe Burrow was already throwing to that spot.

You are probably right.

I still hate having Hudson as an option there...dude had 32 yards coming into last night.

Zac Taylor whiffed on a bunch of aggressive calls...failed that two-point conversion and had two fourth down attempts where it seemed like the primary look was a Jermain Burton go route. Made no sense.

I can't comprehend how CMC would take the spot of Chase?

I think the deep shot to Burton on a 4th down was another read Burrow is supposed to make. Once they read a 1-high safety (probably because the other safety is always shading over to Ja'Marr) and 1v1 on the outside, Burton is supposed to go and Burrow is supposed to take that shot, even though it's 4th & short-ish. They just didn't execute.

I've never had Chase on any of my fantasy teams, but I cannot imagine him ever being on a bench.

Makes sense. On the first one, it looked like he had Burton, but the dude just stopped running. It was really odd.

Yeah, Chase Brown. My other RBs are Kamara and Aaron Jones. Didn't want to bench either of them.

I did. Might not have been the smartest move, but I'm just trying something, hopefully to catch lighting in a bottle. With all the Saints receiver & rb injuries, I figured he might be depended on a lot more. With Goedert, he put up 22 and 10 points his last two games he was healthy, so hoping for that kind of return to form.

As far as Hockenson, I already have Jefferson and Aaron Jones, trying to not put all my eggs in the Vikings basket. Plus I am just not sure if we will return back to the 2023 form of himself.

Chase Brown had a great game, but any of those guys can out produce him.

My big problem is that with 50 seconds left in the game, the 2 point conversion doesn't make any sense.

Even if you got it, Baltimore still has 50 seconds to kick a game-winning field goal.

If you kick the extra point and tie it, they are probably more conservative in their attempt to drive for the FG because they know how well you can move the ball as well or try a FG of your own. Overtime is an acceptable alternative to a risky pass downfield.

If you try the two-point conversion and miss, the game is instantly over and you've lost.

Cant believe I am leaning towards benching AJ Brown. I am starting Jefferson and Nabors at WR. Starting RB's is Achane & Aaron Jones. McCaffery as my flex. Am I crazy on my intentions? 10 team, .5 ppr league btw

I see the logic, but Tucker has been pretty bad on long FGs this season, he is 2-5 from 50+. Obviously, both offenses were humming and they could have gotten down into FG range with 38 seconds and a timeout, but I am okay with running that risk on the two-point conversion over going into OT and leaving the game up to a coin flip.

Bench Aaron Jones. Would be crazy to bench AJ Brown here.

If Drake London ends up being OUT on Sunday, I'll have Odunze or Tank Bigsby available to start at Flex in his stead and that's it. ...or should I pick up and start Ray Ray McCloud, Demarcus Robinson, Tolbert, Noah Brown?

I would just roll with Odunze if London is out, but he has logged limited practices all week, so I feel okay about him playing.

Another option is to sit CeeDee and start them both?

I'm nervous about CeeDee with the injury and the new QB, but I don't think you can bench him. Probably start McLaurin

I still like Odunze followed by Noah Brown. Brown probably has a better matchup vs the Steelers, if he gets enough snaps.
