A midseason coach firing would be such a waste of time. I don't see the point in making the guy with the most inept unit HC.

It doesn't matter who is coaching the Cowboys. The GM builds garbage rosters.

Cowboys should hire Jimbo.

They completely neglected 2 major areas on both sides - running the ball and stopping the run, in spite of massive cap room. No one is fixing that midseason

Need to build the offensive line and become much more physical on offense. Not sure a mid season coaching search is the right move.

Jerry is fine with putting a garbage team on the field. You really think he would offer a refund on season tickets?

The procedure is easy and painless. The prep can be easy or not so easy depending on what your gastro doc prescribes. Good luck.

We are literally discussing colonoscopies on the game thread. Just let that sink in.

It's more interesting.

And less crappy than this current version of the Cowboys.

It's colonoscopy with no anesthesia and they are using the pool sweeper to do it

At this point the Jerry hate is just a defense mechanism to avoid recognizing the fact that this is Will McClay and Stephen Jones baby. They've had the reigns for the last decade and essentially complete and total personnel control since 2020. Any deficiencies in coaching and personnel are squarely on them. And that's MUCH more terrifying because Stephen letting go and finally giving the GM title to McClay (or someone) when Jerry is gone was the distant light at the end of the tunnel for so many. "Oh when Jerry dies things will change".

Jerry had been functionally dead in all aspects but PR for years. This is what you get after he's gone. Now maybe a new coach changes things, but Jerry Jones is just a scapegoat in 2024.
In your mind, who made the decision that Stephen and Will are currently in charge?

Jerry

The difference is this fanbase and Washington's are the only ones who blame the owner when the personnel, players or coach fail.

So it's fair to put blame on the guys that choose the players and coaches, but unfair or unreasonable to put any blame on the guy that chose the guys that choose the players and coaches?

jerry is not just the owner. hes president and general manager also. those are his title.

who else should fans blame when the owner, president and general manager has not done anything noteworthy for 30 years?

but you aren't goaltending for jerry, we get it.

jerry is the face of the most popular NFL franchise and one of most popular sports teams in the world. he's going to get more press than others.

but blaming the owner is not limited to dallas and DC. texans fans wanted to run cal mcnair out of town. browns fans absolutely hate haslam. bengals fans routinely blame cheap brown for their problems. the list goes on and on.

Exactly. Anyone ignoring that Jerry is a huge part of the problem is completely clueless. He's the CEO.

And the Redskins definitely blamed their former owner. It wasn't that long ago either.

Anyone see video of the Cowboys "brain trust " walking back to the locker after the game? It consists of Jerry, Will Mclay. Stephen, Jerry Jr, and several grandsons.

Maybe the problem lies within a bunch of trust fund and nepo babies running this organization.

Remember watching a Monday night game way back in the 70's, I think, between the Cowboys and Cards (?). Anyway the 'boys were stinking up the place and Howard Cosell says to Dandy Don "Tell me Dandy, what"s WRONG with the Cowboys?". Don't remember Merrideth's reply, but I'm sure it wasn't very nice. Definitely applies to yesterday's game.

It's not a maybe. Some family franchises pull it off. This one, however, may have too much hillbilly in it.
