To elaborate on the concept of trading up in the 2nd. I think the extra 3rd gives us real firepower here. We don't have to trade away one of our 3rds outright, but we can do pick swaps.
For example, according to the trade value chart, we could move up from 56 to 42 with Houston. The cost would be giving them our #73 3rd rounder in exchange for their late 4th rounder #123. It's a bit of an overpay but that's what you get when you want to move up.
It's not a terrible scenario at all... via trades we were able to capture guys that we coveted, all the while we still recouped that 4th rounder that we wanted.
