I don't how to state this any more clearly, Sturm is just wrong. He either doesn't know or doesn't care that there is a set distance that a player must be behind the ball, and you can easily see Reynolds is not far enough back. He is less than a half yard behind the ball, it's not even close.

Again, the official NFL rules analyst and the post game guys ALL agree with me

Then maybe dumbass Skipper the Tripper shouldn't have gone to distract the ref while 68 was reporting.

The ref rushed and ran away. I don't see how 68 did anything wrong. If I'm him, I'm thinking he heard me and is checking me in
You realize the ref has to verbally announce this for everyone to hear, right? If you are him and you don't hear your number announced as eligible (or your coaches don't hear your number announced), then you may want to rethink what trickery you are attempting

Goff is wrong. That's prob what should have happened. You ref clearly acknowledges 70 and you can read his lips at the LOS. He clearly says 70.

I honety don't know or care.... but what you said is my only real thought as well.

How often do 3 lineman go up to the ref to report & decoy? The play clock was running.... there was a lot happening in a very short amount of time.

One thing to help make sure they get the # right in a loud stadium is to give a proper chest/jersey rub. He did basically nothing. Again, too cute and it burned them

two things can be true

the cowboys were reeling at the end, McCarthy had been ****ing up for what felt like hours, and got bailed out in some small degree by the refs (even though it's clearly he said she said at this point)

they won, and **** the haters

The penalty on Hendershot was ridiculous. The Lion defender did a wild kick when he was trying to shed block. I guess the ref just saw a tripping motion and called it on Hendershot.

68 was probably saying "i'm reporting" and 70 was running toward mr. crooked hat and the ref probably thought he said "he's reporting". Again - ref needs to be better there.

Even so, if you have people coming over to you and after the play NOT A SINGLE COWBOY is throwing a fit about who and who not was reporting, you pick up the flag. Terrible call

Player who is eligible needs to be clearly rubbing his chest. You don't leave it to only a verbal cue in a stadium with 85k noisy fans when there is a universal signal for reporting. Particularly when you're gonna send 3 dudes his way but only have one report

The most annoying part of this is how we're going to have to hear all week about how detroit got screwed. If Ceedee lamb doesnt fumble at the goal line and mike mccarthy doesnt throw the ball on that 2nd down play on the last drive like a moron it never even gets close
