Let's just pretend that at one time he was really good at football. He's 35 years old, been out of the league longer than he was ever in it, and is a giant headache. He's Tim Tebow with no redeeming qualities.

How many years has it been since he's played, 8? That is longer than most football player's careers! He's just trying to stay relevant. Hope people just ignore it.

Watson was out for a little over a year and he still looks rusty in his 8th or 9th game back. Watson is worlds better the Kaepernick to begin with, so I can't even imagine how bad Kaepernick would be. This is just another look at me, I'm important and other people are keeping me down moment by captan publicity stunt.

If the Jets w/ Wilson at QB were playing on a neutral field against identical Jets but w/ CK at QB, I have to think Vegas favors the CK Jets slightly.

CK with the Jets would just be the Falcons

Ironically the last team that was going to give CK a chance was Atlanta. IIRC they had setup a private workout for him to come in and at the 11th hour he decided to change the terms and demanded they come to some random HS field. Atlanta declined and he's never been given another chance. I wouldn't be surprised if part of his Nike contract stipulates that every couple of years he has to put something out on social media that not only is he ready to play but he's always been ready. Pretty sure this guy has declined to be part of practice teams before, along with any of the other leagues. If he wants to play then he needs to be contacting the CFL, USFL, and XFL. He's not going back to the NFL, the Jets are desperate, but they're not CK desperate.

As a 49ers fan, I appreciated Colin Kaepernick for stepping in for Alex Smith for the last 7 regular season games of 2012 and nearly leading the 49ers comeback from a 28-6 deficit with 14:49 left in the 3rd quarter before falling short 34-31 to the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII. Then, he started all 16 regular season games and led the 49ers to another NFC Championship Game appearance in which they lost to the eventual Super Bowl XLVII champion Seahawks. He played 3 more seasons under 3 different head coaches: Jim Harbaugh in 2014, Jim Tomsula in 2015, and Chip Kelly in 2016. His playing days are over because no NFL team would be desperate enough to sing a soon to be 35-year-old quarterback, who has been out of the league for 6 years.

If he really wanted to play, he would have made the effort and do whatever the NFL wanted him to do. Like the Atlanta thing. They set up a special tryout just for him and he couldn't even show up. I think some other teams even gave him an offer but he tuners it down because he didn't feel it was enough money.

Also, a lot of people don't remember that he was benched before he started his little temper tantrum.

Colin Kaepernick Apparently Makes Final Decision On XFL (msn.com)

Won't even spend anytime proving he's still got something left in the tank. If he was serious (or wanted others to take him serious) about a comeback, surely he could understand the value of a season, hell even a partial season,

I guess I just don't get why Kaepernick would voluntarily go back into slavery.

it would be really great if we never had to talk about him again.
It's going to be funny when a kid who is currently in high school gets hurt a couple of years into his NFL career in 2032, and Kaepernick is still petitioning to get a shot.

One of my favorite high school football coaches and I once talked about CK's bull****, and his word stayed with me today: "If you are really good at football, and you actually want to play, then you'll be in the league, no questions asked. Michael Vick did terrible things, went to prison, and had no problem finding teams to sign him. Ray Lewis very likely killed a guy, and the Ravens didn't even blink when it was time to re-up him. Kaepnerick just likes attention, and he uses his race to get it when he's feeling lonely."

He may have kneeled for justice, but he sat for Blaine Gabbert.
