Think I'm done with Gibbs…Montgomery just getting all the touches unless he's injured. Very overrated in drafting. I had no clue Montgomery would be used this much.

Me looking at Aaron Jones tonight…

He misses so many easy throws. Just airmailing over wide open guys. CBS ranked this guy as the 3rd best QB in the nfl today in their week 4 QB power rankings.

Seeing reports Musgrave out for the game. That was my player in this game.

Now would be a cool time for a goal line carry…..

Dont drop him, but I'm not starting him either. Campbell running Montgomery 25+ times a game is going to drive him into the ground.

Also a Gibbs owner. I think it's hilarious because Gibbs gets 7+ yards every time he touches it, but Montgomery gets 26 carries to average 3.23 yards a carry

I agree I think as the season goes on Gibbs will come on stronger. Don't start him if you don't have to but he has much higher upside than Montgomery since he's much more explosive and a much better receiver

The game last night was my first chance to see Lions TE Sam Laporta play. I think he's the real deal already as a rookie. He could be the next great young TE difference maker.

My bad. Tough to bench a guy rated that high. Your gut was right in this case.

For those who watched the game, would you say that Montgomery got all the I back sets, and Gibbs the shotgun sets?

I'm guessing Gibbs lack of use was the Lions success with simple run plays and having a lead to hold onto. I'm not worried about his minimal touches in this one especially coming off a short week where he got quite a few touches.

Assuming Garrapolo is healthy, I'd go Meyers over Kamara.

Great matchup against the chargers, and he has 10+ targets in each game, even with Davante Adams.

If you are a streaming defense team, I recommend picking up the Colts before this Sunday.

Colts have the 4th most sacks this season (well 5th, but Lions played 1 more game).
Matchups upcoming: Rams, Titans, Jax, Browns, saints, Carolina, NE. Bye.
Then TB, Titans, Cincy, Pit, Atl, LV.

So that is one top offense, Cincy. So don't have to play the weekly change defense game.

Apparently Montgomery has never beat the Packers and told Campbell, so they rode him for 30+ carries and basically fed him all the TDs. Gibbs didn't get a single goal line carry. He might not have even had a Red Zone carry. Shotgun or under center wasn't a defining difference.

He was grinding out 2 yards a carry with an occasional 5--most of them tough, fighting yards. For most of the game his YPC averaged right around 3.2-3.3. Goff and Gibbs bailed them out on quite a few third downs and longer passes early. Every time Gibbs touched it he went 7 yards and looked far more explosive. by the end of the game Montgomery was getting bigger gains as the Packers were tired and quitting, but even that barely boosted his YPC ending at ~3.75 for the game.

Great strategy for the morale of the team and likely to not overwork Gibbs on a short week, but frustrating for owners. By the time the fantasy playoffs roll around, no way Montgomery can handle this load. 34 touches is insane for a RB these days.

If the Lions ever are playing from behind i imagine a great game plan for Gibbs. Also the Lions end of season schedule is super juicy.

Most rookie TEs aren't huge contributors but I really think LaPorta has a chance to be one. He does everything he needs to do pretty well especially run blocking/pass pro which a lot of the real hyped up rookie TEs typically struggle with. That's why he's a guy that won't be coming off the field much imo.

St. Brown and Etienne are the 2 best players in that trade ROS (in my opinion).

You could maybe do St. Brown + Sanders for Kyren and LaPorta/Kittle (I'd rather trade Kittle especially if he has a boom week 4).
