Alright, gentlemen, the time has come for the week three waives, FAAB, Start/Sit thread.

If Puka Nacua or Kyren Williams are still somehow out there, go grab them now.

Some hot options this week:
QB
-Jordan Love - some season-long appeal. He has looked good to start the season.
-Matt Stafford - could be a nice stream this week.
-Jared Goff - same as above.
-Kirk Cousins - looks like he could be a QB1 if he is still out there.

RB
-Jerome Ford - looks like the kind of add you should be comfortable burning hefty FAAB on. Nick Chubb is done for the year, and Ford assumed that role last night, going for 106 yards on the ground on 16 carries and a touchdown. He added 25 receiving yards on three receptions on the four targets he drew.
-Zack Moss - was the RB1 for the Colts last week. He should fill that role until JT comes back...if he comes back.
-Roschon Johnson - he has seen his role expand, and D'Onta Foreman was a healthy scratch last week. Could be wheels up.
-Matt Breida - I think he is untalented but could get volume. Also total speculation, if NYG think they can make the playoffs, they should trade for D'Onta Foreman (late round pick would do).
-Josh Kelley - May be worth taking a flyer on trading for him. A fringe WR3/4 should do the trick. He has a much better matchup week 3 and if Ekeler's ankle causes him to be out he could have some value.
-Other stash options: Tyjae Spears has looked good with the usage he has seen. Kendre Miller could have value with Jamaal Williams hurt. Craig Reynolds could be alright with David Montgomery out.

WR
-Tank Dell - saw his snap % and target share increase this week. He went for 72 yards and a tuddy on his ten targets.
-Jayden Reed - could be worth an add. He had two touchdowns and 37 yards on his four receptions.
-Josh Reynolds - could be a decent add, we have seen him be productive before in spurts, but it looks like ARSB is dealing with turf toe and that offense throws a good amount.

TE
Tight end is a mess...Hunter Henry, Luke Musgrave, Jake Ferguson, and Sam LaPorta are all fine adds. Taysom Hill could have some intrigue with Jamaal Williams out.

D/ST
KC, JAX, MIA, GB, CLE, and PIT all have nice matchups this week.

*ETA: txagbeliever's suggestions of Breida and Kelley

Add Tank Dell or Jayden Reed? I'd be looking at dropping Jake Ferguson.

Also, I may need to drop people once Jakobi Meyers and Kenneth Gainwell return from injury. Should I cut either of them, Zay Jones or De'Von Achane?

Add Tank Dell.
Tough on who to cut. I think Achnane has little value as the number 4 (but number 2 with injuries). If you have enough quality WRs I think I'd cut Zay Jones just because he isn't someone that is going to turn into a must start guy.

I'll add them to the list...completely forgot about Breida and assumed Kelley would be owned, but I put Puka and Kyren on there, so might as well.

I generally agree...I think Achane will boom down the stretch, but that could be my Aggie bias...I also know Mostert is a massive injury risk. RB is also, far and away, the most shallow spot on my roster, so I like having him stashed over some of the middling WRs.

So I need to make a move for a WR and I've got an extra TE (Hockensen or Andrews) to move.

What WR is better ROS to target?

Mike Evans
Devante Smith
AJ Brown
May even be able to buy low on Chase

Does your league have a flex spot? If so I'm guessing you can play a TE there unless you also have a really solid 3rd RB to play.

Maybe you could target a Waddle/Ridley for one of those 2. If it is Andrews, I'd want another upside WR type (J Smith-Njiba, Tank Dell, etc).

I currently play Hock in the flex spot but I feel like I'm hurting at WR and think if I can land a solid WR I can slide one of them into the flex and be better off.

WR1 - Waddle
WR2 - Addison

How many teams in the league, what is your bench?

Waddle is a WR1 in a 12 team league. I can see you looking to trade a TE for a WR that has a higher projected points over a season (is this PPR or not. Because no PPR I'd take Hock & Andrews). But hard to get an trade like that done since no one is desperate for TE like they would be for a RB.

Lost in one league by over 50 points and scored by far the lowest total in the league this week**, falling to 0-2. What I gotta do to try to fix this mess?

QB: Trevor Lawrence, Anthony Richardson
WR: Justin Jefferson, Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, DeAndre Hopkins
RB: Kyren Williams, Miles Sanders, Alexander Mattison, Javonte Williams, Khalil Herbert*
TE: Sam LaPorta, Pat Freiermuth

*claim is in for Jerome Ford, but I know I won't get him.

**this squad did get the 4th highest points in week 1, but lost a close one due to Dallas D/ST putting up almost 40 pts against.

I feel like I'd have to move one of those WRs to try to get a rb2 that is better or more consistent than Miles/Mattison/Javonte/Khalil. Assuming it would be tough to get the value I'd want for G Wilson with Z Wilson throwing to him, would a DHop for a Brian Robinson or James Cook be fair? Would that even be good for me dropping to only 3 WRs (could pick up a Josh Reynolds or something perhaps)? Could stand pat - it's only week 2 - maybe there's hope Javonte and/or Miles heat up as the season goes on- sean payton's offense improves in DEN and Bryce Young gets more comfortable with the O in CAR so the running game opens up...

Quote:

before season started maybe, as for currently those RB's are at peak value with stock pointing up, while Hopkins is at (hopefully) season low value

if you can still sell high on GWilson for one of those I'd prob take that
that roster seemed very determined refuse drafting RB, after 3 straight WR picks went with a 4th over potential options like KWalker, JCook, Conner, Hall etc
even a late Kamara/JT grab would look nice about now

Basically I'm short on depth and my thinking is move one of the TEs to add some depth at WR but maybe I'm jut better off rolling with Hock in the flex spot

12 team PPR

QB - Lawerence
RB - McCaffery
RB - Breece Hall
WR - Waddle (in concussion protocol)
WR - Addison
TE - Andrews
FLEX - Hockenson
K - Meyers
DEF - SF

Bench - Mike Williams, K Toney, Jamaal Williams, Achane, Jameson Williams, D'Onta Foreman (going to be dropped), Chark (probably going to be dropped)

How many RB/WR/FLEX does your league start?

Bad luck week one, losing to Cowboys D, and week two, I would assume you started Trevor Lawrence's dud and likely benched Kyren for the others. Assuming your league is 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 FLEX, I would probably hold onto most of those WRs, I think your team is fine if you make the right start-sit decisions.

Who else is on waivers? I would submit claims for any of the RBs/WRs I listed above and part ways with one of those TEs.

If you were looking into making a trade, I would be trying to get rid of Hopkins, Sanders, Mattison, or Herbert...you'd be selling low, but I don't know how much better any of those guys are going to look. Maybe you can get really lucky and package one of those RBs with Garrett Wilson to land a Joe Mixon or ETN, but that feels unlikely.

First comment, you should not have 2 TEs unless you have 2 top 5 TEs. Drop Freiermuth and add a RB (Spears, Ford, Warren, T. Jones, Z. Charbonet, Hubbard, Roschon). A Freiermuth dice roll TE will always be available on the wavier wire.

Maybe you could do a Garret Wilson for Jahymr Gibbs. It is risky. I think G. Wilson will get better the Jets have to now rework their offense for a system that plays to Zack Wilson's strengths. That isn't going to happen in a short week against what might be one of the top 5 defenses of the past 5 years.

Also I think you should be willing to include either QB in a trade. You are in a 10 team league, ideally you don't want a 2nd QB on your roster because there are likely a few really good options out there.

I think you'd want a RB not a WR. Mike Williams / Addison are a solid WR2 and Waddle is a WR1.
I'd look to update your bench with lotto picks like young WRs or 2nd RBs (Ford, Charbonet, K. Miller, Spears, etc).
Got Jamaal and Javonte mixed up. I think you need another RB.

apparently Saquon's injury may not be as bad as initially diagnosed

probably not going to use a waiver on Breida vs. the 49ers

will use it on Ford

Yeah I drafted a second TE as a speculative gamble to see how Laporta was going to fare. He passes. Freiermuth is now a drop if a claim goes through or maybe a fa drop on Wednesday.

I had charbonnet lol and dropped him for Kyren last week. Khalil is on the dropping block now, but I doubt I'll get Ford. I'm 7th or 8th priority.

I also drafted Richardson late as a speculative gamble, and he's outscored Trevor Lawrence both weeks but now Richardson is concussed and Lawerence has the Texans. Think I need to hold both longer until bye weeks start hitting or trade one.

How much of your FA budget are you bidding on Ford for?

I started with $100.
Have $96 available.
Am bidding $62 on Ford.

I'm desperate at the RB spot and think he could be the RB1 on the Browns. I think there are better backup RBs available, but he seems to be the one that has the golden opportunity "right now".

How did your league bid FAAB on Puka, Kyren, Kelley last week?
texagbeliever

Don't drop Herbert. That is an offense that could switch to run heavy because Fields is not beating anyone in the air.

Puka $12, Kyren $16.

In the past when we've had a starter out for season and a clear replacement at RB1, it's been over $40.

Browns meeting with Hunt today so that may tamper bids on Ford some

not sure why Hunt is on fantasy waivers technically has no team so has not played thus should be FA currently, ESPN at least had him as FA last night now on waivers today
Zachary Klement

I'm curious to see how this impacts bids on Ford. I'm not saying he is some stud, but I think he should be the clear add over Hunt if Cleveland brings him in.

Last year, Hunt's yards per route run dropped by 50% from the year before, his YPC dropped from 4.9 to 3.8, and Cleveland phased him out of their offense as the season progressed--his snap % was between 43-56% before their week eight bye, and after that, he saw more than 40% of the snaps in just three of Cleveland's nine remaining games. Typically, when veteran RBs around Hunt's age are waiting around to be signed, it isn't because they have so many good offers they can't pick which one to take...it's because they are washed.

Also, every player gets put on waivers after the last game is played...otherwise you'd be able to snag guys that were on a bye on Tuesday before waivers run.
EliteZags
How long do you want to ignore this user?

I'm not saying he'll command any value, and understand the 'old'/'washed' labeling, but there's really no physical reason he should be
Hunt was in the same draft class with CMC/Mixon/Dalvin/Kamara/Conner/Aaron Jones and has only be subjected to maybe 3-4 full seasons workload cumulatively

I agree RB would be ideal but there just aren't many out there worth what I value Hock and Andrews at.

No one wants to give up the solid RBs and the not so solid ones aren't worth it.

Picking up Jerome Ford.

Should I drop:

Marvin Mims
Or Achane (which would make me sad)

Losing bids were: 70, 62, 55, 36, 33, 31, and 17.

Btw, if y'all don't have access to see the losing bids for FAAB on CBS, you should activate that option. Very interesting
