Really regret not bidding more on Kyren Williams
My wife had the chance to get him or puka but I told her to save her number 1 priority

late TD run salvages Stevenson's fantasy day
Chicago might have the worst defense in the NFL this year. They just made Rachaad White look really good, now that is a sell high candidate.Richmond Ag said:
Any thoughts on if DJ Moore is a guy to sell high on if you can. Not seeing hardly any improvement from Justin Fields but Moore had a good game against TB
Draft good players or good team schemes, not opportunity volume. Mattison, Sanders, Williams, & Herbert (scariest of the 4) all had opportunity volume but were on bad running team schemes and aren't great backs.oh no said:
Alexander Mattison, Miles Sanders, Javonte Williams, Khalil Herbert, etc. Meanwhile, some people who picked a Swift in the 70s or a Brian Robinson in the 80s or 90s due to expected committee/splits look like they're going to make out like bandits. ...looks like a split / committee back on a good team is better than a #1 back on a bad team so far. ...although maybe i just picked the wrong #1 backs on bad teams- someone like James Conner or Rachaad White was lower a much lower adp when i took Miles or Mattison at 40/41.
yeah, hindsight is 20/20. I had Brian Robinson on a team last year and he was truly splitting and even losing reps to Antonio Gibson down the stretch and not very valuable for fantasy. Seems to be a complete reversal so far through 2 weeks this season. His avg ADP in ppr leagues across four different platforms was 108.5 just before the season started. He went 103 and 95 in my leagues respectively. it would have seemed crazy to take him at 80 or 81.texagbeliever said:Draft good players or good team schemes, not opportunity volume. Swift/Gainwell on the Eagles is a great running scheme (and Swift has talent). Robinson is more talented then those 4 backs and is on a team that is better at running.
Rachaad White looked good only against an awful Chicago defense. James Conner is injury prone and has a brutal schedule coming up. Conner could put up 2 sub 7 point weeks over the next two games with DAL & SF as opponents.

anyone else who had the #1 pick, and likely took JJ first overall, struggling like both of my teams? Had the same pick and therefore very similar drafts in both leagues. JJ is fine, but I did not like the RBs remaining at 20 and 21 for my 2nd and 3rd picks with the top 8 stud RBs gone; it felt like it would have been a reach to take Rhamondre or Etienne at 20 or 21 when their ADPs in ppr leagues across all platforms were in the 30s, so I went RB zero for those first three picks, hoping to hit on some decent RBs at 40/41 and/or 60/61 and/or 80/81. It's not working out for me so far.
luckily James Cook at 61 overall top of 7th round in one league might work out and in the other league i picked up Kyren on waivers after week 1, was on my bench in week 2, but he looks like a good ROS starter. ... the rest of my picks look like scrubs so far: Alexander Mattison, Miles Sanders, Javonte Williams, Khalil Herbert, etc.
I also had the first-overall pick and tried to implement a hero RB strategy...I took Jonathan Taylor with my second pick (we drafted on August 18th, and it seemed far more likely JT would get moved), MAndrews with my third pick, Keenan fourth, Herbert fifth, JK Dobbins sixth (felt great about that until the Achilles), Drake London, Michael Pittman Jr., Jordan Addison, Jahan Dotson, Rashaad Penny, Antonio Gibson, and Skyy Moore.oh no said:

I have Burrow and Higgins and I'm not worried yet. They also started last year slow and Burrow is dealing with that calf injury. Now that they're 0-2, I think they will turn it up a gear and hopefully start slinging the ball.texagbeliever said:
Big question:
Is the Cincy offense going to turn it around and make Chase a top 3 pick (don't think so), Higgins end of round 2 pick (possibly), Mixon end of round 3 pick (maybe, tough run defenses), and Burrow round 4 pick (unlikely).
If Burrow has an injury and can't practice this week, i'd be worried. If he can't get it going against Rams, then he could have 3 good weeks: Titans, Cards, Seahawks... but then 3 bad weeks Bye, Dallas, SF.k20dub said:I have Burrow and Higgins and I'm not worried yet. Hill going after 5 is just bad on picks 4 & 5.oh no said:
my point is that #1 pick sucked. waiting until 20 and 21 when cmc, eckeler, chubb, bijan, saquon, pollard, henry, jacobs, mixon are all gone is tricky. felt too high to draft rhamondre and etiene, but betting on middle round rbs is hard.
I've always preferred middle order or even closer to the turn, personally. if you had any other draft order position, 2/19 all the way to 10/11, you probably have one of those top 8-9 high floor RBs and a stud WR (or you have one of them and Kelce) vs 1/20 where you probably have JJ and Garrett Wilson or JJ and Olave like I do in my leagues.
for example, 8/13 has like a Tyreek and Jacobs, 7/14 has Chubb and Pollard, etc.
