I didn't really plan on a zero-RB strategy, but after y'all talked me out of going with Mahomes at 1.2, this is what I ended up with. CMC went 1.1 so I took Jefferson #2. As I suspected, our RD 1&2 saw several QBs go, so I took Lamb in the 2nd round.

By the time I had taken Jefferson, Lamb, then Lamar and Hockenson, I decided I needed to start piling up RB options. Other than Khalil Herbert, I feel like RB is going to be a real committee approach all year, at least for 4 weeks until Taylor returns (still hoping he gets traded someplace).

QB- Lamar, Howell (probably trading Howell for Pickett straight up at some point)
RB - Khalil Herbert, Rashad Penny, Samaje Perrine, Jonathan Taylor, Mostert
WR - Jefferson, Lamb, Mike Williams, Diontae Johnson
TE - Hockenson, Higbee
K and DST - who cares

12 team standard. Start 1 QB, 2 rb and 2 wr and 1 flex, 1 te, a K and DST.

Actually I took J Taylor in 4 and Hockenson in 5.

In hindsight, both those were probably dumb moves!

Hock was the 5th TE taken.

5th round is a better pick then for Hock. JT in the fourth is a reasonable gamble.

Our league requires you to carry 2 qb, 2 te, 2 k, 2 dst and 4 wr and 4 rb. And 1 other position can be anything you want.

So I don't have a lot of flexibility like some you are suggesting, the good thing is, the waiver wire always has someone kind of decent if you need it.

10 team PPR…1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, K, D/ST, DP…went 0 rb approach.

QB - Herbert, Wilson
RB - Stevenson, Mattison, Kamara, Mostert, D Jackson,
WR/ TE - Kupp, Kelce, Olave, Jeudy, M Williams
Others - who cares

Mahomes went 1.3 dropping Kupp to me. Then Kelce dropped behind Bijan, Saquon, Pollard, Diggs, G Wilson, and Hurts. I had Kupp and Kelce ranked 6 and 7 on my list. Figured I'd get one of Tyreek, Kupp, or Kelce when I found out I got pick 7. Somehow I got 2 of the 3. Feeling pretty good even though Yahoo predicts me in 6th place. Their drafts grade are not done well.

No TE spot probably puts Kelce in that 12-16 spot range. His projected points aren't too different from a ARSB or AJ Brown.

My league has been around 20+ years and I think some players are still bitter about a minor rule tweak 10 years ago! It is what it is and ain't changing anytime soon.

it will be tough to leave Mostert on the bench for week 1

After the top 4 i reached a little for James Connor but ended up with Jonathan Taylor late in the draft.

Loved 0RB in the 8th spot.

We also start 2 WR, 1 WR and 2 flez.

starts 2 RB's, 3 WR's, TE, and flex

first 4 picks ---> Kelce, A.J. Brown, Metcalf, Ridley

then 4 RB's ---> Pacheco, Kamara, Mostert, Jamaal Williams

QB's ---> will rotate between Tua and Daniel Jones

I am a fan of the zero RB approach, but I think some people fall into the trap of midround (dead zone) RBs. Historically, there is very little difference between 4th-6th round RBs and 7th-9th round RBs.

Lately, I have been more of a Hero RB approach. Grab an elite one in the first then don't touch the position again until late.

These plans are more for traditional-style leagues and not crazy giant rosters. I would assume that would need an entirely different approach.

um yea.. suppose that is a true zero RB roster there

for contrast in my nonppr league I ended up going zero WR approach after Rhamondre fell to bottom 3rd and I didn't have much interest in Tee Higgins as my 1 just cus that's where he usually goes
