Hard Knocks usually maintains the illusion of "behind the scenes" authentic, but the interactions in episode 1 this year felt super fake and staged…anyone else get that vibe?

Yes, mostly because the Jets don't want any part of it imo. It's going to be very surface level and probably try to come up with new production ideas.
Also the series is very tired at this point. It's the exact same **** every year.
Once the NFL changed the roster cut rules/dates, a lot of the drama disappeared. Now, it isn't as interesting to profile guys that are on the cusp of making the team.
The magician at the beginning of the episode tonight was crazy.

Man Aaron Rodgers is weird cat.
One second he comes off as a creepy a hole who never looks people in the eyes when talks to them then the next he comes off as a genuine guy who looks like he could be a helluva coach one day.
Almost like he has 2 personalities. It's wild that I go back forth on him.

I like Rodgers on with McAfee and Hardknocks but I get the get the feeling that he is VERY aware when the camera is on him. Not saying he's not being genuine but he is VERY measured.
