With the amount of talent at the position, I don't like the idea of using draft picks or capital on an aging WR. Find one that fits your system (ie. Rams/Puka) in the draft and roll.

WR salaries have gotten out of control. Thats why I'd rather draft one early and spend elsewhere. You can get a pro bowl safety and DL for the cost of a good WR.

Higgins got a franchise tag so I'm assuming he wants a new contract wherever he goes.

If that's something Caserio is working on, which I'm not convinced of, I'm guessing the Bengals would be targeting a second round pick from us this year. Basically Caserio would be flipping our 1st round pick this year into Tee Higgins + his new contract, and a 2nd round pick next year. Higgins I'm guessing wants more money than Calvin Ridley who just got a deal for $23MM/season with $50MM guaranteed.IrishAg said:

It just doesn't seem like a Caserio move to me. I looked up his injury history and here's what I found:

Since Collins needs to be extended soon would they really trade and resign Higgins to big money with this draft class? I don't think so. He might be working on something else, the Higgins move just doesn't feel like Caserio IMO.

Terry McLaurin is basically Washington's AJ80 in terms of career production with ****ty QBs. Dude would be posting 1500+ a season with a real QB if he ever had one.
Higgins seems like just a guy. Putting up numbers you would expect from anyone who had a healthy Burrow throwing to them.

Still think they go DT over WR early in the draft. WR seems like it will be a trade considering they want production now.
With no picks until the second round that'll take Murphy and Newton off the board. If they do take a DT in the second then it's going to be T'Vondre Sweat, Kris Jenkins, Braden Fiske or Ruke Orhorhoro. Sweat is the size of a small building so he's going to be more of an asset against the run than the pass. I think Jenkins could be a good grab. Orhorhoro is a project, he's probably more of a third round prospect.Ag_07 said:

The other starter spot is a mystery unless they really like Denico Autry there. Maybe smaller quicker with a bigger player next to him? So Fatukasi and Settle man the NT and then the quicker Autry, Hinish, and Davis next to them? Or maybe DeMeco is adjusting and going big in the middle to become more space eaters and take pressure off his ends? Seems like a weird move unless they have an ace up their sleeve (like signing Rankins on the 18th last year).

It was in response to someone leaking a pic of a non-player in the uniform earlier in the day.

If that is it, I'm fine with the design...just would like to see red become the primary color with a "H-Town Blue" accent.

I'm relieved they didn't use the old English H-Town design they've been peddling out the last year.
