I do agree but i was just beating the dead horse joke of no difference between 1 and 2 so surely no difference between 8 and 11
If we get a Sunday or Monday night game it's going to be at Carolina would be by guess. It makes more sense than any other game on the schedule. That game could get some people watching those two teams when most of the country wouldn't care otherwise. I don't think it'll be Cleveland, I think the NFL probably doesn't want the Watson talking points on prime time during that game with a national audience.LincolnBorglum79 said:
One week from schedule release. So many chances for interesting games for the first time since BOB imploded the team.
Home vs Arizona - the trade
At Carolina - CJ vs Bryce
At Jets - CJ vs Rodgers
Both Indy games - CJ vs Richardson
Both Tenn games - CJ vs Levis. Will vs Henry
At Cincy - Ohio State DNP Vs Actual Ohio St QB
Home vs Tampa - Mike Evans vs his old team
Home vs Browns - CJ and Will vs Watson and Myles
Probably won't get more than 1 or 2 prime time games until we prove we are different.

#Texans are finalizing a three-year, $36 million contract extension with veteran offensive guard Shaq Mason with $22 million total guaranteed, including a $10 million signing bonus, making him one of the highest paid guards in NFL per @DerykGilmore of @Day1SportsEnt told @KPRC2

Agreed, especially for a guy that's been on two Super Bowl winning teams and is 29 at a position that you can go at a high level until around 35TheNotoriousP.I.P. said:
Feel like that's a very fair contract
Trade with Tampa. He was on the last year of his deal. Was the starting guard for New England from 2015 to 2021, traded to Tampa since they needed help for Tom last year, then traded to us in a cost reduction move as Tampa was dumping contracts. This was his last year on the deal, so getting him for a 3 year extension is nice.Ags #1 said:
Is he one of the best guards in the league? Was he a FA signing?

"Kenyon, he picks my brain a lot," Mason said. "We've been talking. He's been asking me things here and there. I one thing I know is that he cares. That's a big thing coming from a guy that young."
"He cares about his craft. He cares about studying. He doesn't want to mess anything up. That's a lot coming from a young guy."

The coaching staff upgrade could have a huge impact on the progress of the 2022 draft choices. Stingley and Kenyon Green could make significant progress while Josh Metchie emerges from his illness to give this offense 2 new threats at WR including Tank Dell.
I'm hoping the schedule sets up a positive start for this team. Arizona without Kyler is the perfect first game if we get it. If the Titans really plan to use the Texans game to feature the Oiler uniforms that sounds like a prime time game probably early before the tIrans start tanking.

That's not true, the Adams family cares enough to use it out of spite.LB12Diamond said:LincolnBorglum79 said:

What
Titans wearing oilers. Whatever
Raven don't wear Browns crap. NFL is really messing this one up. No one in Nashville cares about anything tied to the oilers.

I've never understood why the NFL allowed them to take the name. When the Browns left Cleveland the NFL told them they couldn't take the name too. I'm pretty sure part of the reason why was when the Colts left Baltimore for Indianapolis they took the name and it was a sore spot ever since. I don't get why the NFL saw fit to protect the Browns name but not the Oilers.
I don't think they were ever the Tennessee Oilers. The Tennessee fans wouldn't even care about the Oilers name and uniforms other than to laugh at all us Houston fans that are pissed.Ag_07 said:
Adams did take the Oilers name. I think they were Tennessee Oilers for 2 years before changing to the Titans.
Regardless it's dumb and stupid but the Adams family is hell bent on using the Oilers and the throwback unis.
It's already ben approved by the NFL I think they're just waiting on announcing which game they will wear them. Early thoughts are it will be their home against us.
Again...The Adams family is behind it all and they're absolutely doing it out of spite.

I can't believe it's been that long.LincolnBorglum79 said:
The NFL site has some interesting Titan Facts. Despite being in Teneessee for 28 seasons following 36 as the Houston Oilers, all of the Team records are held by players/coach who started their careers in Houston. Coaching, passing, rushing, scoring, sacks, interceptions, receiving records. None held by a player that didn't start in Houston. What a pitiful 28 seasons.

I think it's because they don't really have any recourse. The Adams family owns the Oilers name, uniforms, colors, history, etc. so who can tell them how and when to use it?
It's absolutely ridiculous that Oiler greats who never played a snap for Tennessee are in the Titans ring of honor.
It's clown world shlt

That's what caused the commissioner to force Modell to give up the Browns name.
