I think Achane solidified himself as no worse than a 3rd round selection. If he has a great pro day maybe a 2nd rounder.

Anyway... he's not the "every down" type back Bijan is, but he's the #1 back on my board. Absolute game changer type player. Put him on a team with, at minimum, a decent Oline and a decent QB and he'll dominate. Put a Star on that dudes helmet.

Sort of agree on the whole. The guys I expected to be impressed with did mpressed me. Gibbs, Bijan, and Achane were expected along with that kid from Eastern Carolina.

For the time being, the age of the "every down back" is gone. You better have burst and top end speed, otherwise you are just another 3-4 yards per average back.

I'm kind of hoping he falls to the end of the 3rd...where SF has 3 consecutive picks. Achane and CMC in the same backfield, either as a tag team or together, with Kyle Shanahan calling plays.

Devon Achane will be the perfect compliment to Damien Pierce on the Texans. Plus you could throw to Achane in space and watch him take it to the house. He will scare people on kickoff returns. He may last until late second early third round but could be offensive ROY in the right offense.
