Haven't seen anyone talking about this yet, but apparently Apple dropped out of the race because of the distribution rights so Google snatched up Sunday ticket starting next year. Interesting thing is that you don't need to have YouTube TV to order it. While it is going to be a package for YouTube TV you can also just buy it a la carte with YouTube.

Sounds like a good thing to me.

I recently signed up for You Tube TV just to try it out. No complaints.

I could see Directv going downhill after this. We were actually considering switching to them next year specifically for NFL ticket. I'm sure we are not the only ones who would subscribe to direct for that purpose.

Now if I could just get You Tube TV to carry the Astros games............

Interesting subplot here is that unlike DirecTV, YouTubeTV runs on a 30-45 second delay. Not a big deal for most casual fans, but it creates massive headaches for degenerate gamblers who subscribe to Sunday Ticket so they can keep tabs on all the games and place live bets in between plays.

I feel bad for those guys…whoever they are…

I dunno, seems like Directv had a pretty serious delay every time I've watched it.

But yeah the delay sucks for those guys who live bet. Or so I've heard…

I somewhat expect this to be more expensive than what DirecTV cost as you don't have to subscribe to YTTV in order to have it.

Also, there is a minimum amount YTTV can offer the package at as they want to keep FOX and CBS happy.

Watched dtv and YouTube side by side and with and with the radio broadcast. Dtv was always in-line with the radio broadcast or a few seconds behind.
