Need to win to make the playoffs and relying on Tua and Waddle right now doesn't make me feel so good.
Yes that's exactly how our ESPN league is. Seems completely fair to me, it hamstrings (no pun intended) the team that is locked from making any moves. If they're good enough to win with an "extra" active player or 2 on IR while not being able to make any waiver moves, more power to them! The Porkchop Express said:In our ESPN league you can have someone in the IR as long as you want, but once they are healthy, you can't make any other add/drop moves until you either put them on your real roster or drop them altogether. That seems fair.Chipotlemonger said:The Porkchop Express said:

I have a league mate who is really raising a fuss about people "stashing" guys on IR similar to this. Wants it to not be allowed. Have told him it's a systemic setting, I believe you can have active guys in IR in both ESPN and Yahoo leagues, maybe more. You just can't add guys to your team when someone who isn't out is in IR.
Any of y'all outlaw this? If so, do you just monitor it weekly as league manager? May start a one off thread, but this post reminded me of it.
I for one have no problem with this "stashing." To me, not being able to add is a big hamstring in a 16 team league.
Overall, I am a big proponent of stashing guys on the bench just so other teams can't use them, but you shouldn't be able to keep making moves with a healthy guy on the IR.
I can live with those. It's the "if I had played player A instead of player B, I would have won" that tortures me. I had at least 5 of those this year. The Porkchop Express said:
If I had been allowed to start all the guys on my bench, the guy on my IR, and all my starters yesterday, I'd still be down 4 points in my matchup.
Yeah but it's the first week of a 2-week playoff. So my season is basically over. I need Kyler Murray to score around 40 tonight to get the lead down to say 43 points.MSFC Aggie said:I can live with those. Is it bad? I'm not watching.W said:
uh-oh, non-contact leg injury for Murray
Well Murray piled up 0.66 points for me tonight. Going to take a narrow 151-69 loss.W said:
the cart is coming onto the field
Well the silver lining is if Cart keeps throwing every pass to James Connor I might eke out a win in my other league. But that seems unlikely too.Engine10 said:
You're handling that with way more grace than I would
