Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady announced Friday that he and wife Gisele Bundchen have finalized a divorce, ending 13 years of marriage and months of speculation about marital strife.

Brady posted on Instagram: "In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.

The couple share two children, Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9. Brady also has a 15-year-old son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Regardless of how "hot" one's wife is, husbands kind of get tired of them after a certain number of years. I think this proves it. Even in my own neighborhood, there are a few women in their 40s who are slim and maintain their appearance. I know their husbands, I can sense from their talk that they are "done". By "done", I don't mean heading for divorce, I mean that the husband and wife are married but lead their own lives most of the time and meet whenever there is a reason to. They may not fight as such, but both lead separate lives. I think people get to that stage once 40s and beyond.

So I think most marriages are like this. You learn to live with your spouse as long as there isn't anything seriously wrong. But the meaning of "love" changes.

Bets on Tom's next love interest? I'm betting an athlete. Is Paige Spirinac too young for Mr. Brady?

What a sad view on married life. My wife and I have grown closer every year of our marriage.

I love my wife more every day and think she gets hotter every day. My family is my favorite group of people to hang out with. 3 kids 6 and under. We were engaged a week after meeting and will be married 9 years in November and our bond hasn't ever been stronger. I cantnimagine ever being apathetic about my wife or kids. Those men mentioned earlier are just sad and pathetic.

As someone who has been married over a decade, you're way off the mark here. This certainly happens for some but in no way is it the norm.

Not derailing but had an ex-gf whose parents had a similar story. He was from Philadelphia, she was from Denver. They met in St. Louis at a baseball game. They were both engaged at the time.

In three days, they dump their fiancs and got married in Vegas. Married 30 years.

When you know, you know.

I was working overseas and heading to Boston about a month and a half down the line to go to a concert and go sea duck hunting over New years back in 2012 I guess it was. I hit up a friend and his wife to see if they wanted to come and if they knew any girls who would want to have a double date for the concert on new years eve in caimbridge. The guy sent me a pic of one girl thinking I just wanted a quick smash I guess haha. Wasn't interested.

Buddies wife talked to another friend and she was willing to do a blind date and my buddy sent me a pic and and i was all about it.

I messaged her and we hit it off while my trip was in the works and the trip went from being a duck hunting trip to planning to meet my future wife's family trip ha. When we finally met we absolutely knew immediately we were meant for each other and have been head over heels ever since. I think we went ring shopping 4 days later. I asked her dads blessing luke 6 days after meeting her and were engaged about a week after meeting. Her friends and family were definitely weirded out by her siddenly getting engaged to a super rowdy texan, but who cares haha.

Anyways, we met in December of 2012 and were married the following November and have been happily married ever since, 9 years this month and we have 3 amazing kids and have both grown tremendously together. I would crumble as a person without her, undoubtedly. It was not hyperbole when I said earlier that I lover her more and find her more attractive every single day. She is the love of my life. Prior to meeting her I think my longest relationship was something like 3 months. Anyways, good talk.
