I have a superflex league that, for the first time, is limiting waiver pickups to 1 per week. How would this change your draft strategy? I am usually super active on the waiver wire to the point where I had teams where I drafted all RB and WR and then streamed QB (before superflex), TE, K and DST. Here are my conclusions:
- I need to protect that waiver wire pickup early in the league to pick up that lottery ticket that ends up winning leagues, which means:
- I need to carry two defenses and two tight ends. I can then stream those two DST and TE every week so that I am not playing a defense against KC. Maybe only carry one TE if I end up with Kelce, Waller, Andrews, Hockensen or Pitts.
- Still carry one kicker. Figure out his bye when it comes up (maybe take a zero if I need to pick up a player).
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
