ESPN League. Drafting on the website. Keeper league. How does it work? Looks like keepers lock an hour before the draft but how does the website know where to put them in the draft order? How does it know what to do with keepers that were claimed on waivers?

I don't think it does. Never had much luck with ESPN with keepers in a specific round...

Each owner goes to their team page and clicks on keeper tab to select their keepers.

The keeper lock time can be changed//set my league manager

ESPN uses the first "x" amount of rounds (depending on how many keepers the league allows) to draft keepers

So if your league allows 3 keepers, rounds 1-3 will automatically select the keepers for you and the draft will technically start on round 4.

***note that if your league allows 3 keepers and somebody selects only 2 keepers, they will get to make draft picks to fill up their remaining keeper spots. So if I choose to only keep 2 keepers, I would actually get to draft my third player before round 4 to make it to where everybody in league has 3 players before round 4 starts. **also note that keeper selections/compensatory picks follows regular draft order. So if 2 people had only 2 keepers, whoever was higher in draft order gets to select their 3rd keeper from remaining player pool first.

On the waivers issue- there are some keeper settings that the LM can play with but for the most part, that's up to your league rules.

As the commissioner of my keeper league, I ensure that everybody's keepers were not only drafted the year prior, but also remained on a roster the entire year (as this is our caveat to our keepers in this league). The league manager can assign keepers for teams if for some reason a player hasn't selected keepers as deadline approaches.

** I don't think it's possible to set keepers from the app as I don't believe the keeper tab is visible on the app. They can still select keepers on their phone, but it needs to be from full/desktop version of ESPN site.
