Who are some guys that you just won't draft, for whatever reason?

(Fantasy football related reasons. I don't mean "I will not draft players from tu, or players on the Eagles, etc.")

One for me is Arian Foster. After his ups and downs the past few years, I just don't trust him.

Any RB on the Patriots or Redskins. I've seen others screwed by those coaches too many times to take that risk.

My draft isn't for 2 weeks, so I haven't compiled my list, but I always have a don't touch with a 10 foot pole list.

You realize Shanahan is no longer the Redskins coach right?

Foster, P. Harvin, Julio Jones are all fantastic players that I would draft if they happened to be there in late rounds. J.Jones had a screw put into his foot and the man runs hard and jumps often.

People are taking these 3 in rounds earlier than I would

Yes (on the Skins headcoach), but I still want to wait a bit to see how things shake out

There is not a player "that I wouldn't draft". It's all about ADP. Based on that, Arian is WAY up there

several on my don't draft list (unless they fall 20 to 30 spots below their ADP):

QB: Cam, Foles, RG3

RB: Foster, Morris, Gore, Ridley

WR: Andre, Welker, Harvin, Torrey

TE: Gronk

Might as well put this here, but Dwayne Bowe has been suspended one game.

Barring him falling pretty far, he was already on my DND list.

Strongly disagree about Jones. He'll be a top 5 WR this year.

Why not Giovanni Bernard? Nervous about a RB committee scenario like New Orleans?

I like him in the 5th. Not in the 2nd where his adp is. Hill is going to take all his goaline carries and then some.

Add Jennings to the list too. Id spend a 9th on him not a 4th.

****ing touchdown stealers. Hill the next Lindale "fatass" White? Still have nightmares about owning Chris Johnson that year with White taking the touchdowns. Maybe I'm running my seasons together, but that may have been the year I traded for Tom Brady and he tore his acl in the first quarter of the first game.

I see hill as a 3 down back. He's going to get the bjge roll from last year by mid season.

I will not draft any RB in the first three rounds if that counts as a DND.

Def: Cowboys
WR: Miles Austin
RB: Steven Jackson for several years

Other than that I don't have anyone in particular.

Zero RB huh? That scares me too much.

Don't be scared. It's a passing league. I made finals last two years in a row once I gave up the traditional "draft RB first" strategy.

I won the championship last year and went RB RB

Can you post your draft results? I'd be interested in seeing what your team looked like.

regarding RG3 (ADP #57)...my hunch is that his regression last year had more to do with defenses adjusting to his style than the leg injury (as all the broadcasters would have us believe).

defenses adjusting...is also why Foles is on my DND list

Cause he's a slight track star playing QB trying to learn a new offense & a new way to play.

My 2013 draft:

1. QB: P Manning
2. WR: R Cobb
3. WR: V Cruz
4. RB: L Miller
5. WR: T Smith
6. RB: C Ivory
7. RB: E Lacy
8. TE: E Dickson
9. WR: A Bolden
10. WR: M Sanu
11. DEF: Cardinals
12. QB: J Freeman
13. K: G Hartley
14. RB: M Leshoure

Cobb was hurt in preseason or first game and was out for year, Cruz did nothing because Giants sucked. I'll look up who I ended up with because obviously you never end up with same team you start with but I don't do a lot of roster moves throughout the season unless I have numerous injuries.

Funny thing is, you were probably ridiculed on draft day. Funny how that sometimes works outs

Wow, besides Manning, Lacy, and Bolden, that is a terrible team. With a draft like that, you probably shouldn't be offering anyone advice. Any success you had was 100% luck.

I have a very hard time anything resembling that team win it all unless you just got lucky draws in the playoffs.

It's a 12 team league. Every team is diluted with bad players and no names. I have no idea who that last guy even is! All I can tell you is that the last two years I went away from drafting RB RB and finished top 3 last two years.

Also, Yahoo is not displaying previous year teams or stats for some reason so I can't see who my ultimate team was because my WRs were ultimately different than who I drafted. There was no change in my RBs though because there is literally no one left to pick up in a league this big while you can still find some diamond WRs.

My team aside I think drafting RBs 1st and 2nd round ahead of a top 5 QB and top 10 WRs doesn't make any sense anymore because it's a passing league and so many teams handle RB by committee now.
Farmer1906
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Exactly it is a passing league meaning there a more quality WRs/WBs and fewer stud every down stud RBs. So I'm going to grab the few elite backs early if I can then I'll get my WRs.
TheCougarHunter

Depends where your draft position is. After the "Big 5" at RB there's a significant dropoff and you're better off getting a Calvin or Jimmy type elite player and getting a 2nd tier RB in the 2nd round. If you wait too long to get a RB you'll find there's a severe lack of talent at that position.

Agreed. That is why I said if I can.

More times than not I think the following is true.
If any of the big 5 are there in round one, get them. If Ball, Lynch, or Murray are there in round 2, get them.
