Some interesting busts...

T Mike Williams, Texas: Taken fourth overall by the Bills in 2003, Williams started fairly strong, but ate himself out of the league by 2005, He's currently a depth-projected guy on Washington's line after losing over 100 pounds prior to the 2009 season.

WR Roy E. Williams, Texas: Now, Roy on the other hand ... it's quite a feat when you can ruin the prospects of two different teams. Taken seventh overall by the Lions, Williams had one Pro Bowl season before dipping back into oblivion. Then, a very ill-advised trade to Dallas put him on Jerry Jones' bill, where every ‘Boys fan waits for Jerry to admit his mistake

Interesting Barbie Carpenter wasn't on there.

Not sure that I would throw Reggie Bush in the bust column

He's not a bust. He was just drafted too high, as was Radio.

It's interesting that the Texans got so much crap, yet hey drfted the best player.

I was so happy when the Texans signed Williams... I didn't think Bush would be an every down back (he's not, though put him in our current offense, and he would be dynamite)... Radio is doing better than I thought he would, but still isn't a top-notch QB...

28 QB's in the league could've done what Young did last year at Tennessee. You don't draft a guy top 5 to drive a bus.

I agree Rudy, but the team actually responded to him more than Collins, and he did beat my Texans in Reliant...

I don't think Bush can be placed in the Bust category.

I think he was expected to be the second coming of Barry Sanders with better receiving skills, and he clearly isn't that. But he has given respectable numbers.

1125 total yards per year
65 receptions per year
8 touchdowns per year

The Saints could have cut him and saved $8mm this year. But he is producing enough where they decided to keep him - and the Saints are notoriously cheap.

It isn't like he is producing absolutely nothing. How many other players would you rather get the ball in the open field over Bush in the entire league? Teams are always going to hold their breath anytime they out punt their coverage. What's the value on that? Despite him not putting up AD numbers, teams still have to game plan for him, which gives more open looks to guys like Jeremy Shockey, Marques Colston, Lance Moore and Robert Meachem. What's that worth?

For the #2, he's a bust. But he's a productive player.

Jason Smith
Chris Long
Calvin Johnson
Reggie Bush
Ronnie Brown
Robert Gallery
Charles Rogers

Julius Peppers
Leonard Davis
LaVar Arrington[had the talent]
Donovan McNabb
Ryan Leaf
Darrell Russell (was gonna be good before he was killed)
Kevin Hardy[one good season]
Tony Boselli
Marshall Faulk
Rick Meier
Quintin Coryatt

Eric Turner
Blair Thomas
Tony Mandarich

He is above average for a #2 pick. Definitely not a bust. There are some real busts out there. Bush is a decent player. Tony Mandarich, Blair Thomas, Rick Meier, Ryan Leaf -those are busts.

yep - to me a bust is a guy who just never produces.

akili smith and kijana carter were total busts

I would still say he is a slight bust, or I guess I will say "overpaid" because he is not a "factor back!" (Merrill Hoge reference)... With the money that went to that pick, I would still rather have Super Mario than Bush

I'm not going to call a guy that was derailed by injury a bust.

The Titans responded to an easier schedule & players getting healthy more than they did Vince. They still lost to the 2 good teams they played after the bye including getting destroyed at home in a must win game when he had that monster 89 yard passing game.
