Bradford = Winner, quality QB
Suh = Beast, deserving of #1 overall
McCoy (DT) = no better than Marcus Spears
Clausen = terrible attitude, complete bust

Don't know enough about anyone else to have an opinion.

Agree on Suh.

Bradford is the things you say, but his shoulder is a problem, and I think he'll be plagued with it throughout his career.

Clausen will suck, just like all his brothers in the pros.

I think Colt McCoy will have a better career than both Bradford and Clausen. His shoulder was a flukey hit, and shouldn't be a recurring problem.

I honestly think so too. And if there's one guy I can't count out, it's Tebow. That dude's work ethic and passion for the game are unreal. There are a few guys that get by on talent alone (Moss, TO, etc.), and guys that have to work hard to make up for a lack of innate ability (Welker, Austin, etc.) But Tebow has both.

As far as RB's, I think Spiller will be a STUD, as do most others, but the other back to keep in mind is Dexter McCluster. They talk about guys having 'motors that don't quit' all the time....this is one of those guys.

WR's - I'm surprised Golden Tate has been left out of so many discussions...especially considering the school he played for. Normally that's enough to get your name at least mentioned....haven't heard much recently. Shipley will be a player...I can guarantee that. And he's a steal if he goes any later than the end of the 3rd.

Colt's shoulder has been hurt multiple times now in that way. How is that flukey, or not at least in some way reoccurring? It's pretty obvious he's prone to it by now.

And like I said on another thread, I don't think any of these QB's will be franchise types, but Clausen has the resume at this point that tends to equate best to NFL success. He is used to losing and getting hit & beat up. He played injured & in pain much better than the others, basically on 1 foot 2/3's of this season. He's led multiple come from behind wins, or at least until their defense cost them the game. QB's on college teams that have decisive talent advantages in 90% of their games don't have good track records. Peyton (who had arguably the easiest learning curve ever for an NFL QB) & Sanchez (who had a great defense & maybe the best OL, but has only had 1 year) are the only exceptions over the last 10-15 years.

Sid, I know McCoy had some other shoulder issues, but the Bama game was totally different. He took a brutal hit from a 350 pound guy in just the right (wrong) spot and it deadened a nerve. That's flukey.

I know his shoulder was weak in a few games his sophomore or junior year?, but it never kept him out of the game, and he didn't miss an entire season because of it.

I guess I don't know how likely his injury is to be recurring, but it is already obvious that Bradford's shoulder is.

I could be very wrong, I have been before.

I don't know that bradford's shoulder is a permanent problem. Seemed like he came back before he should have because it was the rrs and reinjured it.

If Bradford can stay healthy I think he will be a very good NFL QB. I like him better than Stafford or Sanchez. I think his accuracy is better than either of those guys. The guy worked extremely hard to get back to his current condition. He far exceeded what scouts were expecting at this point. If he doesn't have reoccurring issues with that shoulder he will be a good one.

I like both Bradford and Clausen, but I like Clausen will be the better NFL QB. McCoy and Suh really are a tossup. I'd go with Suh, but barely. The best player in this draft is Eric Berry.

McCoy would only be more successful in a West Coast system that covers up his lack of arm strength... Another thing - Jermaine Gresham is a soft player, and I feel sorry for whatever team drafts him, probably in the 1st round...

  • Clausen will not fall past Seattle at 14. He has a good attitude and will be the starter by week 4
  • Dez Bryant will go to Denver
  • Cowboys will draft a lineman in the 1st, and then reach for Shipley in the 2nd
  • Texans will draft Ryan Matthews in the 1st, best available corner in 2nd (unless by miracle Earl Thomas or Joe Haden falls to 20)
  • Sam Bradford will be successful with a little protection. has enough weapons at the skill positions to not embarrass himself
  • Tebow goes in 1st round
  • someone moves up to draft McCoy
  • Jerry will talk about a huge trade that almost happened without naming any specifics

I am worried about Bradford. One of the skills nfl players have is how to fall and get hit without hurting themselves. Its how guys stay in the league. I dont like how Bradord falls when he gets hit. I actually think Clausen will be successful people are trashing him so much he will come in with low expectations and people do play harder against notre dame.
