You guys mind if I make the picks for the Browns? Huge fan of them and have a pretty good understanding of the team needs.

The Alliance of KATZ has announced that Carolina will trade all of its picks to Cincinnati in return for an extra scratching post and 100 lbs of cat nip.

Arizona, if Judge is okay with it, then I am.

Bobcat, the Lions and Jaguars object to that trade on the basis that your alliance does not fairly represent all of those of the feline persuasion. I'm inclined to agree with them and as de facto commissioner of this here fake draft thing, I say "Nay."

However, the Jaguars are willing to trade the #10 pick to Cincinnati for the #21 and #54 picks, and will throw in 200lbs of odor blocking litter and three cat toys to be named later.

As for when it starts, given the casualness of the operation and leaving plenty of time for people to wheel and deal and actually choose--I'd say almost as soon as all the teams are taken.

How many rounds? I see a third round pick listed...

Burnsey, my original thought was 3 rounds. If we really get rolling, then I could see it going to 4, maybe even 5.

So... I'm gonna take that as a yes. Sorry about the delay, had some internet issues.

Is TexAgs uber-slow today?

So my thought process is:
If we don't have a full lineup by tomorrow morning, we'll open up the last half dozen teams to almost anyone who's interested. I'd ask that the people who have two teams already or have multiple first round picks let others go first. And first choice goes to the guys who already picked one out. Hopefully that'll put things in place by the afternoon. A day or so to wheel and deal if you want, and we'll start Wednesday. As soon as the first pick is chosen, we'll go.

From there, when it's your turn, you'll have four hours to make your trade or selection, except for two conditions. 1) the four hour rule is suspended if you ask for the extension that I mentioned earlier; and 2) the four hour rule is suspended overnight--if the previous team makes a selection after midnight Central time, your four hour clock doesn't start until 8am the next morning.

I reserve the right to veto any trades that seem inherently unfair and/or any trades that a significant number of people believe is unfair.

When we get started, I'd ask the first selector to start a new thread "2010 TexAgs Mock Draft" or something similar, and we'll go from there.

I'll start a new thread when I make the first pick (Rams).
