Class of '06 here. I was recently laid off due to pending facility closure. I am looking for a new job in Continuous Improvement (LEAN) or Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering. I am also considering Quality Engineering since I have worked closely with that group on many projects. I have over 17 years of experience in the manufacture of upstream oil and gas products. The last 5 years I was the supervisor of the Manufacturing Engineering and Programming departments.
I have a B.S. in MMET from TAMU College Station and I am currently working on my official Six Sigma Black Belt certification but I have been participating and leading LEAN projects for the last 5 years. My biggest project was the relocation of 30 machine tools to reduce the lead time of the wellhead and associated equipment from 12+ months to 16 weeks. I am also a DNV-GL certified internal auditor.
I am looking to office in the Cypress area or within about a 45 minute drive.
Resume available if needed. Email is bumguazw06 at gmail.
