In my industry (aerospace and defense) there is a need for good supply chain folks. Seems like a natural fit with your Army background.

Edit: including link to company's webpage with some resources for veterans transitioning into a civilian job

Happy to help in any way. It is a huge corporation, so it has it's warts. But still a lot of great people and cool programs to work. If you ever come across a job req and want a referral, let me know.

GE, RTX, Bell, name your corporate USA business that has a pipeline for former US military officers, many do. The question is where do you want to be and want do you (YOUR WIFE!) want, not where should you go. Decide what you want and plan accordingly. All US industries need YOUR leadership.

The biggest thing you'll bring to the table is a clearance. Do you have one?

Agree with the comment that you need to be clear on where you and your spouse want to live. I am a director with a major defense company and there is opportunity out there for someone with your experience.

I'd agree, there should be tons of opportunity for that background. I'd also echo with everything that's been said previously, it all depends on exactly what you want to do, and where you and your wife would want to move to or be willing to relocate to.

I'm on the leadership team of a defense contractor and we look for people with similar backgrounds all the time. We have facilities in both Houston and San Antonio.

One of my buddies manages a region for an electrical distribution company. If you send me a resume, I'll forward it to him. He's not on Texags much, but I sent him a link to this post, and he's interested.
