I've applied for several positions through this on LinkedIn, but it seems like a generic recruiting service. Is there any real placement people behind it, or is it mostly AI driven?

Real people. I was filling a position and a recruiter from Jobot reached out to me when he saw the job posting. He found me 5 great candidates and I had the position filled within two weeks. I thought he was great, but I am sure like any services there are some recruiters that are not as good as others.

I find them annoying as they spam Linkedin. I use a command in Linkedin to remove their listings. Just say "Manager NOT Jobot" in the search will remove them
