We are looking for 2-3 summer interns to join our team. You will focus on scoping, designing and delivering real-time geospatial analytics solutions for a variety of verticals. We offer a work environment where you will learn a tremendous amount in a few short months. Responsibilities

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• An analytical mind
• Working towards a Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field

not sure what is strange about it, can you help me understand?

we are a small shop, we don't have the luxury of coddling interns, the second they come in they are providing value to the organization and will be challenged the entire summer and come away with great real world experience

Must just be me since no one else posted, just never seen postings for interns who already have a degree and such well developed skill sets. Good luck with the hiring, and sorry for the derail!
