I've been in my current profession as a Real Estate Agent for 12 years. More recently I have started a small business with a partner and I am just at the point where I am exhausted with both. Not really sure how to pivot at this point. I would be great in a sales role and I am sure there are some opportunities that would be a good fit for my skills.

I am in the process of putting together a resume for the first time since 2010 and for what ever reason it seems like a daunting task. I guess my question is do you think the market thinks that a guy in his 40's can make a smooth transition into a corporate sales gig after being out in the wild eating what he kills for 12 years?

Any advice or direction would be appreciated.

If you want to stay RE adjacent look at any software you used as an agent and check out Sales roles at those companies.

Sell home insurance or home warranties. You already know the ins and outs and probably have contacts. Another option might be doing home inspections or appraisals. Good luck. It can happen. I made a big change in my 40's.
