I went to glassdoor to check out company reviews and there seems to be something going on. The reviews that I added for companies have been "removed". They were there for a months and years. Now all have been removed. I wanted to see what people said about my previous company (since the layoffs) and there's been almost nothing in 3 weeks. Usually there is a lot going on.

Anyone else have the same experience. I think companies get bad reviews removed by paying glassdoor. This would make the site useless.

Just to test, I created a semi positive review for a company I had worked for and it was auto-removed within seconds. I wonder if I am "blacklisted".

I used to work for alliantgroup, and I know for a fact that glassdoor had all of their negative reviews scrubbed, and that was several years ago.

We laid off a guy last month who went scorched earth on our Glassdoor (obvious that it was him), and it was gone a few days later. Company is notoriously litigious, so we were kind of thinking they strong-armed him into deleting it, but who knows. There were also multiple overly positive reviews posted right after that.

Glassdoor claims they don't take down posts but I read a reddit legal post where someone claimed Glassdoor reached out to them and said they were being forced to handover her personal info to the company she posted about by a judge. The company claimed she was making libelous statements or something to that effect. I don't know if this is true but I would not be surprised if Glassdoor has minimal legal support. All in all best to only post opinions or certifiable facts either way and not make it obvious who you are.

All this being said, disappearing posts are weird especially if it's only happening to you. I've posted successfully recently without removal. Did you try reaching out to their customer support?

I don't think anyone will ask the poster anything.
Here's what I think may be happening. Glasdoor has this concept of "engaged employer" which I think is a subscription that the company pays Glassdoor. So if reviews are bad, these engaged employers may have a lot more things they can do with such reviews.

It's been more than a year since I posted my last review so I wonder why all my reviews from 10+ years ago are suddenly gone.

I went on Glassdoor after we were bought out/laid off and read what all of my former shops said about me compared to the new 'leadership.' That was a fun night.
