We are seeking to expand our Information Technology team.

Job Summary
The IT System Administrator plans, implements, oversees and maintains a variety of end-user IT systems and components, and on a daily basis is responsible for ensuring all KBSI employees have appropriate, adequate and properly performing IT equipment enabling them to complete their work objectives.

Responsibilities & Duties of Position
  • Maintain end-user IT systems including but not limited to: laptops and desktops, printing, telecommunication, mobile device management (MDM), and anti-virus capabilities and systems
  • Identify patterns and anomalies regarding end-user IT systems use or reported problems
  • Oversee end-user IT system configuration and change management activities
  • Resolve escalated end-user support issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collect employee feedback regarding IT needs and departmental satisfaction level
  • Define and maintain planned maintenance schedules for end-user IT systems
  • Execute quarterly end-user IT systems inventory audit (hardware/software)
  • Develop and maintain training material for end-user IT systems
  • Define and execute an acquisition and obsolescence plan for end-user IT systems (hardware/software)
  • Define and maintain baseline requirements for end-user IT systems provided to new hires (hardware/software)
  • Define and execute data recovery procedures for end-user IT systems as necessary
  • Define and maintain standards and procedures for handling technical support calls or problems
  • Create, maintain, and remove end-user IT system user accounts (local and domain-based)
  • Communicate issues to appropriate escalation groups and management as required
  • Maintain IT knowledge via continuing education (magazines/books/videos/conferences/seminars/etc.)
  • Present complex technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Accurately search for information using provided resources
  • Efficiently and professionally handle occasional interruptions, calls, inquiries, and emergency or crisis situations
  • Occasionally work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and/or travel as necessary
  • Limited exposure to excessive noise, dust, and fumes.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or COO

  • Job Location: College Station, Texas / Some remote work is possible
  • Supervisor: Vice President of Information Technology / Report to: IT Server Administrator
  • Positions Supervised: IT Technician
  • Salary Range: $50,000 $65,000 annually

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Associate Degree in IT (or related field) plus two (2) years of industry experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT (or related field) plus one (1) year of industry experience
  • Any Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certification preferred
  • Must be eligible for auto insurance coverage and able to operate company-owned vehicle(s)
  • CompTIA A+ Certification preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification preferred
  • Must be willing to apply for security clearance, if required

  • Knowledge of current server and network technologies and standards and their practical application in the enterprise environment, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Knowledge of IT policy, procedures and practices with the ability to answer work related questions and/or interpret and apply these guidelines correctly in various situations
  • Proficiency with and ability to interpret and apply technical configuration specifications for enterprise information systems
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and user requirements to develop solutions using prescribed methods and implement procedures to provide the required functionality
