We are looking for a Civil Engineering EIT, 0-3 years experience. Also looking for a Drafter who is competent in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Both positions are in Temple, Texas. Company has a location in Austin County as well.

Position Overview
Republic Engineering & Development Services is looking for a Drafter/CAD Technician for their Temple/Belton, Texas office. Located about an hour north of Austin, Texas, the Temple/Belton area is a growing community that has a small town feel with all the comforts of the big city. As a drafter you will be primarily responsible for designing and producing civil plan sets for residential land development and/or commercial site development projects. This also includes implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards to be applied across the company.

Job Responsibilities
Work with civil engineers, designers, and other team members to develop entitlement and construction packages.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft plats and plan sets.
Review plan sets, with/without other team member, for errors and conflicts.
Perform takeoffs for various project types.
Apply technical skills to meet project demands, recommend new approaches/ideas to improve the company's drafting efficiency, and maintain the company's drafting templates and standards.
Collaborate with team members, clients and governmental agencies on project tasks and assignments.
Mentor and teach other team members within the company on drafting related topics and practices.
Must be adaptable, well organized, accountable, dependable, and self-sufficient.
Preform other duties as requested.
Tasks will be mainly centered around residential and commercial developments

Requirements
- Associate degree in an accredited program or have sufficient industry experience and the ability to demonstrate comprehension of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software with emphasis on AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
- Ability to remain focused and reliable in completing tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- E.I.T. certification or have the ability to obtain certification within a year of staring employment.
- 0-3 years of related experience in civil engineering.
- Proficient in CAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software programs as required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.
