I was laid off in Feb from a software company.

Since then, I have at least 164 jobs applied (gathered just from indeed and LNKD, it was much more via direct apps totaling to about 250 total jobs applied for.

In total, I got about 6 interviews, made it to the final round in 4.

One job flew me to meet my new team in AUS, then downsized the position.

It has been such a beatdown, felt like I was dating again. But as I was finishing an interview today, I got the call that I GOT A JOB WITH BENEFITS IN MY INDUSTRY THATS HYBRID!!!!!!!!!!

Those of you who are still in that position, take heart. Apply to things you don't feel like you're qualified for. BE YOURSELF IN INTERVIEWS! I was trying to sound like the perfect candidate instead of myself, and when I switched to "not caring" per se, everything has been easier.

That's awesome. Congrats!! Super happy for you. In sales, we notice the same thing you did. When you start "not caring" you tend to be more yourself and you don't oversell. I've also used a similar technique except my attitude is that when I need a customer, they are lucky I have darkened their door. I'm there doing them a favor and not the other way around. Those two, for whatever reason, seem to close a lot more sales than doing it the old way. I don't know why. It's not about being an egomaniac, but it has a lot to do with allowing your personality to come out. You can't fake that and that's why it works I guess.

Congrats, PilotAg! Im in the same boat. Just got a job that would "send and offer soon" and then they had their quarterly earnings call today and the position was eliminated.

Have a pre-screen on Thursday on another lead, so im keeping my head up and fingers crossed.

Did you notice a difference in passing ATS when you used jobscan versus just doing it yourself?

Absolutely, 100000%. What's funny about this whole situation is I had my sister who is a managing director at a big 4 firm look at my resume, she said it was great. Still no interviews. Started playing with ATS and it was a total turnaround.

It's getting ridiculous if you have to hire bots just to counter HR's bots. I guess I'll have to try that.
